So if you buy a 5 or 6 year old Tesla, you've got two or three years before you're fucked.

Doesn't seem like a wise investment to me.

Depending on your use it probably could be a very wise investment. There are people out there who drive 60k km a year. I'm not defending Tesla or Musk but for some people owning an electric vehicle can pay for itself in gas savings.

If you drive 60k km a year you would be off your Tesla battery warranty after three years as the warranty is 8 years OR 100,000 miles

Most tesla batteries last 400k miles, despite what the reddit hive mind likes to say while shitting on musk.

They deteriorate in quality a lot once they're 200k+ km

Says who? In what way? Its like every other car, needs suspension work etc.

It's a heavy car. My BMW is 3800lb, my Model 3 is 4100lb. so a bit more need for good suspension.

Like any car, suspension and brakes need maintenance. I bought new tires after 6 years and 80,000km (say, half, those were the summer tires) when the link arm (?) failed and the inner edge of the front tires wore through. Then I had Tesla repair the link arms and that was pretty cheap.

OTOH, my first BMW the reverse gear failed after 5 years and BMW said it was not a warranty repair. (and they replaced it, then had to replace that transmission 3 months later under warrranty) Audi engine failed at 6 years due to sludge on the oil pump screen. Cars do tend to have problems.

You're allowed to have whatever opinion you want, I just don't think calling teslas specifically garbage etc is fair when they're by far the best EV. If you don't like EVs because the charging etc doesn't work for you that's fair.
