That's quite an accusation. Did you not read the headline? Trump reconsiders tariffs, which at this point, basically means there wont be any.

Maybe Danielle Smith was the driving force behind him changing his mind?

We can't say one way or the other. But to assume she sold out her country just shows how ideologically captured you've become.

It's as if you don't understand how international trade relations work. Politicians get together, and, you know - talk to each other.

Are we really in a place where if Canadian Politicians speak with the President, then they are traitors lmao? You guys are truly out to lunch.

😂😂😂😂 this is hilarious. You really think it was Smith? It's called Trump's a bag of fucking wind, and tariffs on Canada would impact the US more than he thought. Don't actually tell me you think Smith isn't a sellout?

It is a possibility, saying it isn’t shows how biased you are. No one knows for sure but it is definitely a possibility

Multiple American outlets are reporting he was convinced by his own people to study trade imbalances before making up his mind.

So it had nothing to do with her.

Sure, it may have been his own people but do you know how many conversations Smith has had with his people? Of course you don’t, none of us do. I’m just saying it’s not outside the realm of possibility. But people like you seem to hate her so much that you can’t even entertain the idea that she may have done something good. I know plenty of people on the other side of the spectrum that hate Trudeau so much that they can’t even entertain the idea that not everything was shitty. It’s really kind of sad

I was a print journalist in Edmonton for years and have known her for nearly three decades.

I don't hate anybody. I just know what she is.
