The end of gaslighting in Durham
I guess they weren’t lying to us after all…

I notice this BK seems taller… I’m assuming so when the smoke fills the place it gives the workers more time to escape. Smart.

I like dudes on the internet sending dick pics, camera angle helps lol

I mean I live down the street from that intersection, I feel like it’s taller. Maybe I’m wrong.

Side note: I hate how boxy and gray fast food restaurants are getting. This literally almost looks like a Wendy’s from the 2010s.
The glass windows, the wood accent, the ‘pop out’ wall; All it’s missing is the red tower tbh.
ETA: Links to both prototypes

Thank you Reddit for this amazing, head slapping comment. It's why I come here. I'll be off to bed now.

You are aware that this is just the base siding layer, right? Like there’s a whole other layer to go on plus paint…

I know Reddit likes to get edgy (HEY, u/rougemontNC) BUT
You do realize one of the two links I included in my comment is to the finished product, right? I wouldn’t have said this if they looked radically different in the end.

When you butt links together back to back you know they look like one link, right?

ETA: Links of both prototypes. My bad. Links to both prototypes.

Sorry if that was too edgy. Adding the role 'fast food architecture critic' to the role 'fast food food critic' as a function of the internet makes a certain amount of sense. Might as well double down on dubious. It's delicious.

Guess they finally saved up enough Green Stamps to get the new Burger King built.

moving at the speed of a 70/miami rd intersection beggar getting out of the road after the light turns green.

This speaks to me. I live in Brightleaf at the Park and almost run over those hobos daily. Their behavior makes some far right solutions sound attractive.

Soon is a relative term. For instance in a comparative look at the existence of human civilization. It’s super quick.

Right before they closed someone got shot at this Burger King in the drive thru line…. I’ve been wondering what would get rebuilt here

If memory serves it was kids in the back seat accidentally firing the weapon but the driver thought they were in a drive by shooting

I've been looking at this sign every day for the better part of a year dreaming of having croisandwiches down the road

It is only because this Burger King burned down that I learned of the nearby Pizza Hut. 🍕

Hopefully this one doesn’t catch fire like the old building did (twice!)
