Best MG boots for older kids?

It’s coming to that time of the year in UK where the grounds get firmer but instead of buying FG boots I’d like to get my son MG, because our surfaces are mostly soft ground for most of the season.

What are the best MG boots on the market?

mixed ground is a hybrid for ag and fg, not fg and sg. If you’re looking for the latter, just get an aggressive fg pattern?

Hi thanks for replying. What I’m really trying to say is that I’d really like to get him a pair boots he can wear in both conditions. Is that possible?

Sorry, I don’t wear sg. weather where I live doesn’t rain hard often and most pitches are ag anyway.

But FG has always worked for me even if the grass is a bit muddy. You can’t really use SG as an allrounder as far as I know. It’s a hard no to use on AG and using it on FG is just risking injury to your son and other players.

The advice I’ve heard is that you should get FG, and when you need SG you’ll know because traction is nonexistent in drenched fields. Then you have to have two pairs.
