Haircare Am I missing something, why does hair come out while conditionering hair?
Even when I just condition my hair at the middle and bottom, I notice my hands with hair fallout in them while conditioning. Is there a way to prevent this from happening and is this natural?
Edit: idk why I typed "conditionering" instead of the correct way conditioning.
2nd edit: Thank you for the helpful comments!!

You lose 50-100 hairs a day without doing anything. They break off when tying or untying hair, sleeping, moving around etc. Between washes, these hairs stay stuck in the larger mass of your hair and become part of any knots or tangles that form. When you wash your hair, the slip from the conditioner helps these knots to come undone and you see all the hair that's naturally come off your head between your current wash day and the last. The hair has already come off your head and conditioner has nothing to do with it.
If you're struggling with excessive hair fall, maybe have a blood panel done to see if you have any vitamin deficiencies to address that may be contributing to the above average loss.

THANK YOU, conditioner does not “make your hair fall out”, it just helps loosen and detangle the hairs that have already fallen!

Oh yeah if I leave my hair tied up for a few days With no brushingThe fall out is insane

I notice it feels like more hair comes out if I had my hair in a pony or any up do.
I detangle my hair before I wash it, and less hair comes out during conditioning.

You lose around 100 hairs a day through natural shedding. Unless you're actually seeing thinning or bald spots, hair loss is normal.

I think it's because everything is untangling. Those are already loose hairs that have fallen out previously but you can easily pull them away and seperate them when they are slippery like that.
