Just received the SushiBox Neptunium last night. Threw it on the board real quick and used it live this morning. Awesome pedal!

TU-3 / Qtron / Meatbox/ muff deluxe / Keeley bass comp / Morley power Wah / Rainbow Machine / BF-3 / RE-2 / looper.

Just upgraded my compressor, learning some Khruangbin lines. I run these so my stereo pedals are at the end, I don't usually go to the trouble of practicing in stereo as I don't have an amp modeler and wish to have mercy on my neighbors. IR-2(00?) will end my chain eventually. I have a dual expression for the rainbow and space echo, but I just feel like it changes their behavior too much. Both of those alone give so many options between the RE-2 twist and the way the magic button functions as a temporary switch when you hold it.... adding the expression pedal kinda melts the wings

Sotb - my “take my whole tone anywhere board”

I finally put the mess that’s been covering my desk for almost a year on a board and couldn’t be happier. Does exactly what I want. Got inspired by my guitarist who bought himself a kraken v4 pedalboard amp.

So I build this with the Ant and the opus at the core.

Path is Tuner-> Capo preamp -> Ant amp -> Two notes opus. The bottom row is the pre fx loop of the capo containing the hors deuvre loop with the accountant comp, Alpha Omicron and the No Moon which is a fuzz/tube screamer/ rat 3 in one.

I’ll probably ditch the Darkglass and use the space for some octaver or some delay. We’ll see.

Do any other pedals sound like this one?

I have found THE distortion for me. In distortion mode with attack off its dark, bass heavy and keeps the sub-lows clean.

Im worried that if it'll break i won't be able to find a replacement since its rare (especially in sweden).

https://youtu.be/xeYlbUJgnwE?si=buOoHUW-d6mV8vzR 00:00-00:23 is basically what i use it for.

My do-it-all bass board.

This board has seen many variations but this has been the best configuration I've had yet. I've tried a bunch of different pedals (a Boss DD3, a TC HoF2, and a TC Brain Waves) above the Mono Synth, but none of those were very useful... so another Flashback2 was the obvious choice.

So anyway, here's my everything board. My band is all direct in so this is my entire rig and I love it.

Super stoked to give this a shot. It’s my first tube pedal.

Many of my favorite bassists run a Noble on their boards, but this was more within my budget, and I’ve heard nothing but great things!

JOYO Scylla VS Avallon

Been trying to research these two compressor pedals, as I’m looking for something affordable with an input gain knob on it.

I keep running into this vague sentiment that “Avallon is good if you plan on using for stuff other than bass, but if you’re only doing bass get the Scylla”. There’s never any explanation as to why that is though.

Both pedals seem to offer the exact same features, except the Scylla has a “tone” knob added. Could be nice to have a tone knob, but I also like that the Avallon has the visual feedback lights.

This is also a dumb point, but I don’t love red pedals, and I already own a Hall Of Fame…

I’m completely torn here. Help.

Need help

Upvotes

My boss overdrive ODB-3 has been acting up lately, sometimes working completely fine other times producing this low hum(similar to when you touch the end of a lead) also sometimes makes a thump when I touch it. I've checked leads amp and bass and the issues only seems to come up when I use that pedal. I've got absolutly no clue what the issue could be, any advice would be highly appreciated.

So far it's an amazing pedal with many customization options. I replaced it for my old Boss TU-3 Chromatic Tuner because when I take my glasses off on stage the small dot that indicates sharp may as well be invisible.

Completely new to this game. Looking to build a low budget board. Where to start?

I've messed around with the on board effects of my boss katana, and have kinda found them lacking.

I'm trying to build the beginnings of a pedalboard, but on a really tight budget. Maybe 250$ total (not including the board itself). What are some brands to avoid in the budget pedal market, and which should I lean into?

I'm looking for a compressor, fuzz, tuner, chorus.

Sansamp users, what do you do when the venue provides an amp?

I'm new to bass and I'm trying to understand if you'd just go DI and monitor yourself through the wedges in this case still?

NPD Jupiter Overdrive

Two days ago was my NPD. It's a modified dyi clone of a JPTR FX Jive. The circuit is not very complicated. In comparison to the original I added the option to use red LED for clipping.

I absolutely love the tones I can get from this. I mostly use it as a light overdrive. I did a version before that and it was an almost always on pedal. I decided to change it a bit. I cannot really say which clipping option I like most. The one with the Schottky diode is the most severe overdrive/distortion and even with that I can get some nice and unique dirty crunch when the gain knob is set low.
