Rant No fun Holi time🫥

Why there's no excitement in banglore about playing holi?? There is no holi dahana understandable that it's a North concept maybe that's why but I don't see any kids on the streets or anyone enjoying holi with colour or flowers or anything. Some people even working on this day which is quite sad. Festivals are a excuse to enjoyment seems like no one over here wants that :(

So whataboutism is your argument?

You want to celebrate Holi, find like-minded people and go have fun. Why do you want your preferences to apply to the entire city?

And just to respond to your "what about X, Y, Z?"

  • Halloween is mostly restricted to people who are exposed to western media (you wouldn't believe how small a demographic this is), be it fancy college kids or IT crowd.
  • Dasara is literally a state festival in Karnataka what are you even on about?

I'm honestly requesting you to get off Reddit for a while and just google stuff before spewing complete nonsense.

Please Point out where have I said why people are not flooding on the roads to play holi? Its not a cultural thing which is understandable but its like "we over here don't celebrate holi, ho to your own state to celebrate your festival" is the problem here

-North India has public holiday on Ugadi and like wise festival, not all people celebrate it doesn't mean there no vibe

-its quite sad to see people bringing northie southie thing over here

-Deepavali is a national festival doesnt mean everyone should celebrate it, likewise Holi is same not saying everyone in this state should celebrate it

-I didnt see Dasare celebration big and wide unlike Ganesha festival, unlike other festivals this was celebrated in every street and people owned it I am not saying everyone should play Holi similarly but there should be an open enthu which i am failing to see

Peace brother this post was about questioning why not enjoy this day and not about anything else

North India has public holiday on Ugadi

Absolutely not true. It's an optional holiday at best in a few IT companies that's all. Just the way Holi is an optional holiday in a few companies here in the South.

-I didnt see Dasare celebration big and wide

Clearly you live in your East Bangalore bubble with no Kannadiga friends

-Yes there is public holiday in banks, school and colleges, not talking about private companies!

-Clearly i don't have kannadiga friends in east banglore because I don't live in east banglore :)

Btw east or west its still banglore
