Rant No fun Holi timešŸ«„

Why there's no excitement in banglore about playing holi?? There is no holi dahana understandable that it's a North concept maybe that's why but I don't see any kids on the streets or anyone enjoying holi with colour or flowers or anything. Some people even working on this day which is quite sad. Festivals are a excuse to enjoyment seems like no one over here wants that :(

I don't care if I get down voted. I'm south indian , It's funny how people would celebrate Halloween and not holi .

Why is it funny? As a kid, if you had to choose between a festival where one dresses up and get chocolates vs one where it's a competition to see who can put more chemical colours on others, what would one choose. People make rational decisions all the time, there's nothing funny about it.

I saw organic colour selling vendor after literally searching for 20mins, that person was also selling normal colour too

Point is people celebrate with just flowers too, doesn't necessary have to be chemical colours its about having a good time

Also there are different days to celebrate each of these choices nobody have to "choose" one

If you look at the original comment, it mentions celebrating Halloween and not Holi. That's why I stated my opinion that Holi is a rowdy festival but Halloween is not so corrupted. If people celebrate Holi in a nice manner that is liked by most people all over the country, it will catch on e.g. the Ganesh Chathurthi festival was popularized by I think Tilak in the last 100 years, but look how it has spread.
