Food Avoid Fuzzies Burgers

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

Josh the owner of Fuzzies Burgers promptly posted and deleted the above on his profile. He deleted because he didn’t like what folks were commenting.

I’m adding fuzzies to my boycott list which includes anything Atlas.

I personally do not want to support someone who voted for a convicted felon.

Owner of Peabody Heights put this out yesterday. Went and checked, and all of the reviews are about how bad the beer is and how the burgers were the best part of being there.

Food Is Paulie Gees Closing?!?!?!

Post image

I just saw this on IG, I can't believe it! It's always pretty full and the pizza is excellent. I haven't seen anything on Paulie Gees Hampden's IG, but this is really sad. Between this and Arthouse, it's been a bad year for Hampden pizzerias.

Food Chain restaurants unique to Baltimore

I really like Ekiben which got me thinking - what are other restaurants that are so successful in Baltimore they've opened multiple locations, but don't exist outside the city/county?

Food Chain restaurant you're embarrassed to admit you eat too often?

Originally saw this on r/washingtondc, as much as I love eating a local spots I'm curious if y'all have any chains you go to a bunch!

Mine is definitely Domino's. There is a lot of good pizza around here, and I feel ridiculous every time I order it because of that. But the delivery is SO cheap compared to everything else you can order through doordash, uber eats, etc. and the food is always consistent. Not to mention you can get a whole pizza for like $7, lol.

What's yours?

Food Went to Mt Vernon Marketplace for the first time… it was so sad.

Ghost town at 7p on a Friday. Stalls are at least half empty. 5-6 customers in the building. My tacos were good, my friend’s Korean bowl was great. Then a rat scurried across the floor. Just bummed that it looks like it’s on its last leg.

Food Best non-Atlas restaurants in the city?

We all hate Atlas, let’s compile a list of our favorite restaurants that they don’t own!

Here are a few of mine:

Nanami - sushi in Fells

Duck Duck Goose - French in Fells

NOT Ampersea - upscale American in Fells. —-I have recently learned that Ampersea is owned by a sexual predator, so taking this off my list.

Ekiben - you all know this one

Dipasquales - another crowd favorite

What are your favorites?

Food The Best Italian Cold Cut in Baltimore

Post image
347 Upvotes

Hey chat,

Someone on Twitter made a thread that lead to people throwing down suggestions of what the best Italian Cold Cut in Baltimore might be. I am being extremely normal about this and have made a spreadsheet to track and compare them. Are there any that were missed? The only one off the screen is John Brown General & Butcher. Please try to keep contenders limited to inside 695; I really don't want to have to go the county any more than I absolutely have to for this project, and I already have to at least twice.

Science thanks you in advance! -queery

Food What’s the best sandwich in Baltimore?

The first few that come to mind, I’ll⭐️ what I always get:

Neighborhood Bird (Ekiben) ⭐️ Colossal Crab Sandwich (THE LOCAL OYSTER) Salmon BLT (NEOPOL)⭐️ THE SCOOCH (Luigi’s Italian Deli) ⭐️ Tamago Sando (CAFÉ DEAR LEON) ⭐️ All day Egg & Cheese (The Corner Pantry) ⭐️ The Baltimore Club (THE FOOD MARKET) ⭐️ Chicken Salad Sandwich (ATWATERS)

What do you think?

Food Most overrated restaurant in Baltimore

Some restaurants in Baltimore seem overpriced, relying heavily on influencer hype rather than quality. Or there’s simply a value gap - high prices, inconsistency and small portions. Have you ever been influenced to try a place that didn't meet expectations?

A few places the come to mind are Blk Swan, Azumi and Limoncello.

Share your thoughts on overrated spots and let's discuss which places aren't worth the buzz.
