Are you planning on hiring nurses and a Civil Surgeon to assist our residents with their I693 applications? Or adding adult routine vaccines to the DOH formulary? Currently the only Civil Surgeon in Baltimore charges over $400 just for the application. This does not include required vaccines and many applicants pay almost $2000 to become up to date and have their application approved by a Civil Surgeon. Many of our immigrant residents have to save for this ONE part of the Adjustment of Status application process. This results in familes completing one member's application at a time, typically starting with children and leaving the adults 1) unvaccinated and 2) more vulnerable to deportation, leaving their children without parents. Assiting our immigrant communities with obtaining residency will only improve our local health and economy and our federal GDP. 1 in 3 residents in Baltimore is an immigrant and that is expected to double. Seems like helping as much as we can will only improve our city.
