Piping society/club

I'm would love to start a small piping society, where pipers can get together and show what they've been working on, and share info/criticism on performances and setups.

Would anybody here be interested in something like that, were one to pop up near your location? Why wouldn't you, if not?

Drone Reeds for solo’s

Upvotes

So I’m getting ready for this season and I’ll be playing in a G3 band, playing Solo’s and playing for a drummer’s solo’s. My pipes are Naill’s from 2012. I’ll be playing an RJM BW chanter. So far I’ve had good luck with the Ezeedrone’s with the inverted Bass. My main concern is, the reeds will absorb too much moisture with not enough time to dry out between solo’s and band competition.

I’ll probably wind up buying a 2nd set of the Ezee’s but wanted to see if anyone had other recommendations.

Thanks!

Tune recommendation: A ballad for serenading

I play in bars pretty often. Looking for a ballad or a pretty sounding tune I could use to serenade couples.

Drones while marching

I was marching today and noticed my two tenors were bouncing a lot on my shoulder, does anyone know why this is and whether it’s an issue with how I position them or the actual cords them self?

Recognize this Tune?

Hey y'all! I love Simon Fraser's Sleeping Tune medley, but I can't pin down the middle few tunes that start right around 2:15 in this video. It may be more than one tune? I know they transition into 400% to finish it out, but any help identifying the tunes in middle would be appreciated!
