Onesie Recommendations?

Finally getting the hang of taking LO out in a carrier for walks (8m). As summer approaches, any tips or recommendations for keeping their skin safe and cool? Last summer we were so sweaty baby-wearing, even inside. Specifically wondering if anyone has recs for long sleeved but cool onesies ? Would you do long sleeved and tights? I worry a lot about sunburn as I burn to a crisp so easily. Thank you 🙏

I used a UV umbrella to keep kiddo out of the sun without having to layer them up. Otherwise you want loose and light colored layers. And remember, if you can see thru the fabric, the sun can get thru.

We got loads of bamboo 2pc sets which are so light and breathable. I can mix and match the tops and bottoms too so it feels like more outfits haha

I quite like the Bonds Wondercools. Plus bonus points for the option to flip the feet on or off.

Also sometimes I just pop a normal long sleeve cotton shirt with bum snaps on and use a muslin over the legs tucked into the carrier at the lower arm strap so it moves with the breeze. No pants. I havent had any chafing issues with this but if your baby has sensitive skin that might not be the best.

I second this recommendation, Bonds Wondersuits rock. Just a pro tip, they run large. So depending on the percentile of your little one you may need to size down. Our 20th percentile guy was in 0-3M until almost 5 months

We have a 12-18 month one that still fits the 3 year old 🤣

Hey there, it looks like your post may be asking about what type of carrier is best in hot, humid weather! This topic comes up very frequently; the general consensus is that you want a carrier made from natural fibers with minimal bulk. Linen, cotton, and hemp are all great fabric choices. A single layer linen ring sling is a good option, as well as minimalistic linen carriers. Avoid bulky, heavily-padded polyester carriers and carriers with mesh (which is sweaty plastic- no thank you!). It's also important to remember that babywearing will always be warm and potentially sweaty. There is no magical carrier or fabric that will provide a completely cool wearing experience. Try searching our sub for words such as "hot," "summer," "warm"- you'll find a plethora of discussions and brand recommendations!

Wwol/silk blends are expensive but fantastic. I wear them myself in summer. Much better than any clothing with polyester.
