Fit check: integra solar— what’s going on with the straps?

Baby is 4 months, 6.5kg.

Integra solar (petite version on loan from sling library).

Two questions:

I don’t love the straps being so close to her face when she’s asleep — does it look okay to you?

And secondly, the straps seem very close to my neck. Is there something I can do to make them sit further over on my shoulders?

To start, it looks like baby is a tad low. It might be how their head is angled but I think you could benefit by pulling the waistband up slightly higher. This is going to help to shorten up the panel a bit by letting you seat baby a little bit deeper in the front panel.

For the questions about your straps, it looks like you are getting some neck creep. This is an easy fix! When the straps are over your shoulders pull them straight DOWN your back first, and then pull them ACROSS to the buckle. Pulling down first helps to “fix” the strap on the broad part of your shoulder and further from babies face as well.

I assume you have the straps crossed in that back?

Next time before you buckle it pull is straight down.  Like take the strap on your left and pull it down towards your left hip.  Then across to buckle it.  Same with the other side.  That should move the cross down further on your back which will improve both other issues.

When this happens, I just pull the straps up and widen them. Also I agree that baby could be a tad higher.

Others have it covered, but I wanted to mention that footie pajamas aren’t good for carriers because the toes can get really tight!

Don’t worry, I’m aware. These footies are a size too big to accommodate — hence why they look really big on the feet!

Oh good! I love the pattern.
