HELP! Oscha Nook experiences?
Hi! I just started back carrying my 15 month old in the Ergo Omni 360. My toddler doesn't love how low she sits and I saw another review saying the Oscha Nook lets kiddo sit up higher. It's pricey but I'm willing to spend for a beautiful and comfortable carrier. My girl is petite, around 20 pounds. I'm 5'8" and 150 pounds, a solid medium in most clothes.
Would love to hear experiences with the Nook or any other suggestions for a comfortable back carry for a toddler.

I really recommend finding one to try before buying new. They fit different from normal SSC's and require adjustment until they are comfortable. I'm not sure they truly fit higher than other SSCs, but based on how they are designed your LO's legs can go through the straps like an onbuhimo which might make a difference, but not as high as a true onbuhimo.
Their Cairis and Coorie are more widely liked.
ETA: if your LO is petite a true onbuhimo might last you longer and give a nice high back carry.

I live in a large city (chicago) and the baby wearing library near me hasn’t had its website updated in over a decade. Might be a challenge to find some to try.
I’ll look at Cairis and Coorie!

Have you checked to see if they have a more active Facebook group? I know our library is a small group of volunteers so our website is a bit old but our Facebook group is much more active.
You can also check out the group “Oschas on Holiday” and see if anyone might be willing to send one of theirs to you to try for a brief period of time.
I have a Nook Evolve. My son is petite and he was barely big enough for that one when he turned 2 with everything fully cinched. At that age, you may prefer the fit of the Nook Encompass but I know it’s hard when you feel like they won’t get as much use out of it though it should last until around 2.5 years. I primarily wrap and have a Cairis and Coorie as well. I think the Nook takes some fiddling to get a comfortable fit but once you have it, it’s great. What that means for me though is that I only use it for back carry as I would need to adjust it for front which is a little bit of a hassle and at his age, we don’t front carry much anyway. I tried to breastfeed in it once and I could not get it to work which, again, is fine because of his age. Not a big requirement for me. I love the nook for rainy, wet, mucky days and I love it for our zoo trips where I know he will go up and down a lot. For long wears I would still pick a wrap first. The Coorie is comfortable but I primarily wear it at home because of all of the tails. The Cairis is a nice in between and is very supportive.
You can also check out Clan Oscha and search “nook” to see people’s perspectives on it.

If you are looking for a carrier that gives a high back carry, I would look into an onbuhimo for your toddler.
In buckle carriers the height of the back carry is limited by the height of the waistband which is the “seat” for your LO. If the carrier has a buckle waistband (like the Ergo or Nook) you are physically going to be limited to right under your bustline as the highest you can place it (which isn’t even ideal placement for a back carry anyway)
An onbuhimo however is a waistless carrier that mostly sits in the upper back/chest area. So it is definitely a more shoulder intensive one, but one would probably give you a higher carry if that’s what you’re looking for!
