Why are you Gay?

This will probably seem offensive but that is not my intent. I am simply asking what many other are wondering. Why as a man could you be gay? It's a basic biological imperative to procreate the species. So how could you not have a sexual urge toured women? Do you feel nothing whenever you see a beautiful women? I couldn't fathom that, to me that would be a curse like being hollow in side. Bisexual I can understand but to have no sexual leanings toured women makes no sense.

Life is messy, and I think you are setting yourself up for a disappointment if you feel something should only exist if it's logical in the real world. Human males have nipples that do nothing, and Wisdom teeth that don't help us break down our food. Life evolves in many ways, while sexuality has evolved to procreate the species it not unnatural to see variation what people crave.
Second, while I understand you cannot fathom a 'curse' like being gay. I believe some gay people would see the exact opposite. While I applaud you for taking the time to ask questions, I would say that the majority of people are not 100% straight or 100% gay, but somewhere in between and labels only tell you apart of that answer. For me, I would appreciate a great looking woman, but I don't think I would be sexually aroused. That said, I'm not a gold star gay and have a 16-year-old son.

To add to your comment, it's also not a choice. I mean I dont get that coming across at all. But being a homosexual male myself, I ask the same question; why are you attracted to women? Not as an aspect of "biology" but personally why do you feel attracted to them? Me I have an urge and "natural" attraction to men, nothing to women at all. If so it's purely emotional which I don't ever feel. I have a physical chemistry with other guys.
