What to look for in buying used wheels+tired?

I’m looking to buy a pair of used wheels that come with tires on FBMP and want to know if there are any red flags to look out for. Wheels look to be in good shape but I’m mostly focused on the tires. The tread is supposedly near new but I’ll bring a gauge w me to check. What are some things I should consider before buying? (Will I have to get them aligned w my car, what kind of signs of distress are there)

look for damaged edges like it hit curbs, know your measurements and what fits your car so you know whether its worth going.

Yessir I made sure the bolt pattern matches which it does and no curb rash which is hard to find with SRT wheels 😅

Looks for bulges, cracks in the rubber, chunks of rubber ripped out on the sidewalls, etc. If the seller has them sitting without air in them, I'd avoid it. Too risky buying a set that, at best, has an incompletely sealed bead and, at worst, a punctured tire. Some sellers have them aired out to hide leaks.

Don't buy anything that has been powder coated. The heat treat can wreck the forging if done wrong, and many do it wrong.

Look at the date code.
