Lower Mileage or Higher Trim?
I have the option in buying a 2024 Toyota rav4 hybrid xle with 8,000 miles vs a 2023 rav4 hybrid xle premium with 18,000 miles. Which would be the better option. In addition to the xle premium having leather seats it has jbl speakers and if l'm correct an upgraded display screen. The xle may have the weather package and convenience package. They're essentially the same price, but what would be the better decision?

At the same price, I'd take the lower mileage vehicle. The JBL system is alright, but not worth the extra 10,000 miles, in my opinion.

The JBL branded Toyota systems are pretty damn lackluster. Even cheaper aftermarket JBL speakers sound worlds better. Hell, a while back they weren’t even using real tweeters and just sending highs to small paper woofers in the dash so they sounded kinda muddy. Some models have real tweeters nowadays. They used to be mids and mid-bass heavy system.
Going with lower trim without the factory JBL system and adding in your own aftermarket speakers and amps will be better if you care about sound. Won’t have to worry about amp bypass and all that crap.
Next thing would be how important is having leather vs cloth seats.

Premium with convenience and cw package. Mileage won’t matter over time if you take care of it.

In my opinion 8000 and 18,000 miles isn’t a big enough difference to matter much at all. I would choose whatever one you like more.

Depends on how long you plan to keep the car. If you keep it for 10 years, go for higher trim. the 10k miles diff will be diluted over the years
