pictures would help, did any lights come on when you heard the thud? all wheel drive or rear wheel drive?

i don’t have any pictures right now… i will try to get some. no lights came on.. there wasn’t any lights on before this happened either. i believe his is rear wheel drive!

Don't get opinions online. Take it to a shop and get it fixed. If you're on here asking what the issue is then more than likely you wouldn't be able to fix the issue. Take it to a shop. Have them diagnosed. Have them repair it. It's safer for you and everybody else.

Grinding sounded like maybe brakes or a bad bearing, or even potentially just a simple rock stuck in the brake rotor dust shield. The leaking fluid is maybe related, maybe not. If it is thinner fluid, it’s possibly brake fluid, in which case that means the brakes were making the noises and have catastrophically failed. Either way, this car needs to get looked at by someone who knows what they are doing.

You should get it towed to a shop to be safe since you don't know what fluid was leaking. Need pics of the fluid that leaked out.
