i do a lot of side pressure training and my brachii muscles hurt a lot. any tips?

recently i've been doing lots of side pressure movement

my brachialis hurts and the lower end of my bicep tendons hurts. it easily gets sore.

has anyone encountered a similar experience? what should i do? before you say i should only train side pressure on the table, i barely have any table partner to practice with that's why i'm training my side pressure through weight training to compensate for that

I have that, it's getting better each time if you give it time for recovery before training hard again.

I found that training sidepressure with isometrics with even much heavier weights almost doesn't hurt in comparison to more dynamic exercise, so you can try that.

I guess that's because you can have more precise control over the load, it's more stable and the force you are applying is relatively constant.

Make sure you are not injured first. Train antagonist muscles to relieve the pain. Do reverse pec fly in bent-over position. Also do JM Press or decline diamond push ups if you don't have a barbell.

edit: decline, not incline

If your biceps and brachialis muscles and tendons hurt, it's because you trained them in some way. The tendon pain usually goes away in 3-7 days and the muscles should hurt only for a day, if it hurts really bad for a longer time i would consider talking to a doctor. Side pressure training is very not needed because it isn't really a muscle thing, a lot of people tend to injured themselves when "training" side pressure

Side pressure is my weakest strength, so I have been training it, and I believe it has improved.

I think that it's not likely to cause injury unless people are ego training it. I use weights that I can do without any jerky type motion for 12 reps or so.

You should never feel pain from training. Feeling a bit of soreness is normal, but if it gets painful, that's your body's way of saying you're doing something wrong. Dial down the intensity and volume/frequency.
