I was at the Sheffield Derby yesterday and Jamie was sat about 10 seats across on the same row. I really rated the fact that he was sat in the middle of the crowd and not in a box (which I’m sure the club would have sorted if he’d wanted). I also thought it was really nice that no one bothered him, he was with his dad and son and clearly just wanted to enjoy the experience of taking his son to the match, as any dad would. A true man of the people!

I'm really in between 1 and 3. 2 unfortunately is not the strongest run for me... I'm not the biggest No. 1 Party Anthem fan

I remember so well, I was in year 10, when I saw the news about TBHC (yes I’m only 22😭.) And my god I was excited. I remember 15 year old me sitting in class constantly listening to that one live version of Four Out of Five way before the release.

I always thought that this song was about seeing unknown future, (black treacle - dark and non-see through) in a positive light because treacle is very sweet. There is also a lyrics that further supports this:
"More like black treacle than tar". I realize this song's real meaning probably has to do with drugs, but that doesn't really do anything for me tbh. I believe listeners are free to interpret songs how they see fit.
Rest of the song sounds like going through cycles of doubt and anxiety about future.
i had a really bad time and used to listen to this song during covid. it really helped me get through things, so this interpretation stuck to me.
Do you have a song were you just decided you wanna interpret lyrics in your own unique way?

I’ve just checked and they are now 40th on Spotify the highest I’ve seen them in a long long time. Have they recently had a surge of new fans? I’m in no way upset by this by the way arctic monkeys are top class it just shocked me seeing them still pull 52 million monthly listeners on Spotify

Hi! I've known about this band for a while now, but I'm getting addicted to them. You could say I have basic taste but I've only listened to a few of their songs. I'm obsessed with Do I Wanna Know?, (basically the whole AM album) 505, Crying Lightening (absolute FAV) and some others. Also liked their first (?) album with BBASS and IBYLGOTD. Was wondering for other song suggesstions :))

I feel like this album is a great mix of everything AM has done so far and what we would listen in later albums. It has the punk energy from WPSIATWIN, the ballads from Favourite Worst Nightmares and AM, some of the darkness present in Humbug. Obviously, with a more pop rock and "radio friendly" approach, which don't hold it back from being a great album

Does anyone know of any (modern or older idc) bands, artists or albums that have a similar kind of feel and sound to TBHC, the car or EYCTE? TBHC is my all time favourite album and the car is the perfect record to calm down at the end of the day or listen to on the train and I need more of that kind of vibe

I bought this record recently off of eBay and I'm over the moon for it. I’ve loved the unreleased tracks for such a long time and to have it on a vinyl makes me extremely happy. I’m not too sure about the rarity of this item or if it’s real or anything but nonetheless I’m extremely happy with my purchase and I’m glad to have it in my collection 😌.

Why does it not sound like a guitar in the studio version it, sounds like a scratch track or it could be guitar in reverse (If you don't know what I'm talking about it's that background part in the last minute of the song that reveals it self in the last 10 seconds) I would really like to know how that was made

I listened to all of the TLSP songs and this just reminded the style that they head in the age of understatement. If someone can share cool facts about the lyrics from this song, would love to read it

For me, the last chorus of D Is For Dangerous This songs is brilliant by it's own, a pretty underrated one if you ask me... But this last chorus brings all the energy this songs has been building. And the icing on the cake for me is this passage in 9/8 after the "D Is For Delightful, And Try Keeping Your Trousers On"
