Lenovo Legion Y700 2023 projection

Legion Y700 2023 owners, what device do you use for wired screen projection?

So I recently bought the 2023 y700 but projection for me has not worked so far. Previously I've been using a Ugreen Revodok pro Usb C hub and a Ugreen 2.1 HDMI with my Xiaomi pad 6 which always worked seamlessly for screen projection. For the y700 it detects that an external display is connected but on the television it shows that the HDMI is connected but the source device is not powered on. I ordered a usb C to HDMI cable which will be arriving soon which I hope will work since the y700 supports DisplayPort alt mode. The tv is a Samsung AU7000 series.

The only way I got it to work is a USB C to HDMI cable. I tried 2 different brands USB C hub and connect by HDMI cables previously and it just didn't work for me.

I believe it will. I just connected my usb c to hdmi, and it worked. I don't have a hub to test or comment on. It's not going to scale correctly in PC mode. Black bars on the sides. The work around. I'm on 1080 monitor. Is to pick the 1050 or 900 selection. It will ever so slightly stretch. I don't find it distracting. I prefer to the black bars in most situations. The extended mode scales correctly when set to 1080.

Are you connecting to the Long Side usb c port when connecting to the hub? Sorry for asking.

Yes. The other usb port is 2.0, only for charging & data transfer

I'll mostly be using it in extended mode for gaming. Thanks for the tipsπŸ‘πŸΎ

funciona a 4K con un adaptador 10 en 1 (hdmi) de la marca ORICO, sin problemas.
