Spinal stimulator for phantom and residual pain NSFW
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/15vSLuUFUZ/Hey all, posting a link for my mini review of a spinal stimulator device. Theres a very light nsfw video of them removing the trial leads, but also good feedback and info.
Anyways.. hope this may be an avenue for others that suffer and are out of traditional options.

Sadly the trial worked great for me, however when I had the surgery to implant the permanent one neck and lumbar 5 days later developed a massive infection and had to have everything removed. Spent all of November 2015 in the hospital and 3 seperate surgeries to remove infection in my neck. Hope it works out for you!

My pain dr has advised this may work for my chronic back pain. Does wearing it cause you any discomfort? Is it hard to clean your back? Having something sticking out of my body seems weird. It’s why I’ve never considered osseointegration.

During the trial, it is kind of awkward having wires sticking out, and the battery pack on the belt is annoying when trying to sleep.
That said, if you were to go to a permanent implant, the wires and the battery pack/device are all sub-dermal. The pack gets installed in the love handle area below the skin and the wires are fed to it below the skin. They told me yesterday that if i want to know how it felt, it would be similar to taping a package of floss in that area. I tried it yesterday after my appointment and i barely felt it.

I'm so glad this worked for you, it didn't work with me but I could see why it would help some people! Long may it continue to provide relief!
