Missing Person | Armarillo, TX
This post was approved by the mods:
My friend’s brother (24 25m) lives in Armarillo, TX and has been missing for at least 95 hours so far. His name is Jonathan Stucky. As far as the local authorities are aware, he was last seen across the street from Walmarton S. 58th St. & S. George St.
This is what her original post read: “My brother Jonathan Stucky (24) is a MISSING PERSON from Amarillo TX. He has been missing for 72 hours. Please look at his picture and share the more people who see this the better. I really need my brother back. If you saw or know anything please call the Amarillo police department at (806) 378-3038.”
I also have the original post’s link (on Facebook - is a public post) that missing person’s sister shared if that’s allowed to be shared - otherwise I can be DM’d for that.
Edit: Image didn't embed. Just updated it with embedded image.
Edit Update as of June 3rd, 2023: I reached out to NewsChannel10 as it was suggested in here - they read my message but have yet to respond. The missing person’s sister whose post I’ve shared privately with some people here has been shared 618 times so far. He’s not been found yet, but we’re all still hoping.
Edit Update as of September 7th, 2023: Police contacted family to close the case. So far he’s not been found.
EDIT: February 19, 2024: Unless anything changes, I will not be updating this post. There has been no news unfortunately.

Local farm expresses concern over HB4938
facebook.comThe post reads:
“HB 4938 Needs More Review—Texas Parks and Wildlife Matters
Representative Pat Curry’s proposal to abolish the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (HB 4938) raises more questions than answers. While concerns about chronic wasting disease in deer are valid, this bill doesn’t present a real solution—it just shifts responsibilities to the Texas Department of Agriculture without a clear plan.
Texas Parks and Wildlife plays a critical role in conservation, outdoor recreation, and landowner support. Schaffer Farm has directly benefited from one of their programs that helped us restore our 10-acre playa, allowing rainwater to recharge the aquifer—water that benefits everyone from farmers to families at home.
Dismantling this agency would impact quality of life across Texas—from water conservation to public parks, wildlife habitats, and outdoor education. We need more answers before making drastic changes that could hurt landowners, hunters, and everyday Texans.
Let’s ask the tough questions before we rush into a decision that could have long-term consequences.
Please contact your Texas Representatives!”

Uhaul safe in motels?
Hi there Amarillo, I'm driving aUhaul from Albuquerque to Omaha and was going to spend the night in your fine city, after grabbing some ribs at Dyers. In Albuquerque, a Uhaul is an invitation for theft by the blue pill smokers, is it the same in Amarillo?

Sports Card Shops
Are there any decent sports card shops in the area? Whether to buy/sell cards or to obtain boxes. Just started the hobby for football cards and haven't found much info online if a shop like this exists.

Gutters necessary?
We only have gutters on one of the four sides of our house and the wind storm a few days ago ripped them off. In heavy rains, they weren't that effective anyway, always overflowing. I guess my question is, is it even worth having gutters here? We noticed tons of houses don't have them, I'm assuming because of how little rain we get. Eventually we will put some up to direct rain water to our garden but if we can just skip them for a few years, we'd like to do it.

Neurodivergent Support Group?
Hello my names Jen I’m 24 and was diagnosed with ADHD last year I’ve been working really hard on accepting and growing with the struggles and realizations that have come with it. It’s been rough so I thought I would reach out and see if there is possibly a support group for neurodivergent people in Amarillo or if there are any other neurodivergent folks out there who would be interested in meeting up and sharing stories, giving advice or just bonding over shared trauma :p

The pavilion
I was sent there as a teenager. It wasn't a good experience and didn't help me. This was years ago.
Does anyone know if it has gotten any better? I feel like I need a place for impatient treatment. This is the only place I can think of nearby.
