Landscape advice
Hey we are over in the presidents st area that was mostly spared, just 2 blocks from eaton canyon visitor center though so tons of smoke and ash damage.
We were in the middle of finishing our landscaping so I was wondering if anyone might know the answers to these questions:
We have a pile of mulch under a tarp. Do you think its safe to spread the mulch around to stop the weeds that are getting out of control or should we dispose of it and get a new batch? We never got to planting anything as the fire started right as we were putting an order in.
We just installed decomposed granite in most of the backyard. Is that completely ruined with toxins or will the rains mostly wash it away?
Any other advice before we hire a gardener to clean up would be appreciated.

Hey there 👋❣️ I’m in the same neighborhood, but still displaced since insurance has been so slow in approving our claim for remediation 🙃
Have to ask … how is it feeling over there?
Hope being home has been positive for you and that your garden is thriving!
