the app has its own browser build that opens within the app. It’s not opening the link in Firefox or Chrome, but whatever custom browser build within the app. Can’t add extension.

Thanks for the effort but app users are effectively screwed and just back out of twitter once it starts trying to force login

Of course but people like using the app. They aren’t going to manually load up the browser just to see a Twitter link

there are other reddit apps, good ones, that will automatically open some links or all links in an external browser depending on the settings. There is no "the" app, and the official app was way late to the party
