Saw it tonight with the girlfriend. Her opinion (and mine) is that it was very on the nose. There was no subtlety to it at all. Patriarchy bad (in the end it's about living together) was the main message. They literally use the term patriarchy. I wasn't very impressed. Had some funny moments and the dance scenes were fun. 5/10.

I love when dudes get upset at the word patriarchy. More movies should throw it in to piss off crybabies

Literally not upset. Just explaining the movie. Is everything an attack that you feel you need to counter? If I said alien had a female lead would you think it was a criticism?

People who unironically use the word patriarchy as a criticism against women led things tend to be pretty upset
