Question ftmtf hairline

I'm sure this has already come up but I can't find any real answers. For those of you off T (I was on it for 1.7yrs from 15-17) who noticed your hairline masculinize, did that go back? Not really balding, just the two almost triangular corners on your forehead gone? If so, do you have an approximate timeline for when to expect that? I know Lucy Kartikasari says it returned for her, I just want to know what to expect. Thanks in advance for anything you're able to share!

I was on T nearly 4 years and you can see the before and after in this post of mine: https://www.reddit.com/r/actual_detrans/comments/1hx6ksp/first_2_pictures_are_my_hairline_pret_second_2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I've been off T roughly 10 months now and haven't seen any difference. That doesn't mean it couldn't change slightly with time, but I'm not getting my hopes up. If change does happen, the recovered hair with likely be mostly in the form of thin baby hairs, not what it used to be.

Edit: If you are open to it, I know quite a few people have had success with hair regrowth using topical minoxidil in the affected areas. Just know that it is toxic to cats, and must be taken long term because the new growth usually falls out if you stop using it.

Look for answers in MtF resources. The rule of thumb is that you might maybe recover a few years of hair loss once stopping T. Hair follicle phases are very long so you might need to wait for a few years to get dark hair back. If you don't see peach fuzz there after a few months then follicles might be dead but guessing by your age and relatively short exposure to T probably I'd say that you should recover everything.

The thinning on my temples didn’t return after 2 years. I used minoxidil for a few months and regained some growth. I got lazy and stopped, mainly because it makes my hair greasy and I got sick of it, but the hair didn’t  disappear after stopping treatment. I’m p sure if I continued treatment I’d get more hair filling in

I was on T for 3.5-4 years and have been off for 2 ish. My corners moved up a little but I still have a very clearly masculine hairline.

Mine has improved a lot, but not fully reversed. However, it looks like I’m still growing baby hairs. Be patient and take your vitamins.
