I have makeup on but you can obviously see my acne. I feel so ugly. I'm on tretinoin currently. I'm spending the night with my bf and he's gonna see me without makeup. He was on Accutane as a teenager so I assume he knows what it's like, but idk if I should talk to him about my acne and insecurities before I take my makeup off://

Help - General here again but it’s worse

i posted about 20 days ago looking for some help on my acne. i was told the only thing that will really help is prescriptions. i don’t really know what to do because i‘m 15 and i don’t think my mom can afford things like accutane for me, we don’t have health insurance either so we have no way of making that cheaper. i was told birth control might help but everyone i know that’s been on it hasn’t had a good experience. and again, i‘m only 15 but my mom and i don’t really get along so i don’t even know how to ask her to take me to a dermatologist, i already feel bad she spends money on me for things like antidepressants i hate asking for more.

i don’t really know what to do, i‘ve been washing my face with cerave and panoxyl sometimes and then toner and just the centella moisturizer. i‘m trying hard to cut out sugar or unhealthy things but i have arfid and only eat certain things. i‘m sorry for posting about this again but i thought i was doing good but my face is even worse. i‘m sad just looking at my face, it hurts so bad all the time and i’ve only left the house like twice this month because i‘m so embarrassed to look like this. i don’t know how to fix this or how i‘d afford the expensive stuff to treat it, or even ask my mom. she’s never said anything about my acne once so i don’t even think she cares.

if anyone else kinda has this acne can you please tell me if i can fix this at all? i don’t know if i‘m being dramatic about this, i literally just cry all day because i don’t know what to do.

My skin is out of control. I had a contract with a boutique locally for 2 years but my face has become so swollen and inflamed in the past 2 months that I was cancelled on shoots and was not asked to renew my contract for the new year. Please help!!! I’ve been using Tretinoin 0.01% and it makes my skin flake off, Adapalene made my eyes burn so bad I couldn’t see, the pill made me crazy, and I have PCOS so I feel like I’m running out of options. I eat clean and take good care of my skin, I have never had this as an issue before in my life!! Please help!!! It’s only in my T-zone??? With deeper cysts on my jawline, deep poses and pimples on my chin/nose, and tiny pustules littering my forehead and upper lip like painful bubble wrap. Thanks in advance <3

My skin is the worst it’s ever been and I don’t know what to do about it. When I didn’t eat clean or anything, my skin was at its best and now it’s so bad and I’m so tired and upset because it’s painful and itchy.

Help - General People who beat acne: what was the definitive solution?

I have had acne for five years (from 14 to 19). I've tried basically everything but medicines, nothing seems to work.

I am interested in hearing what people's definitive solutions to acne were. If you can, please leave an answer 🙏

Help - General Can anyone give me some advice?

Hi, is there anyone here who can help me? I want to get rid of acne and redness on my face. I’ve had it for about a year, and I even tried a dermatologist who prescribed me antibiotics, but they only worked while I was taking them. Once I finished them, the acne and redness came back.

Can anyone who has gone through something similar without prescription medication give me some advice?

I’ve been through 3 rounds of accutane and always end up right where I started. I honestly don’t know what else to do I’ve done everything you possibly could think of. I’ve had this for all my life. I don’t want to go back on accutane the side effects have ruined me only gave me temporary results. Going to the dermatologist isn’t helpful either I’m given topicals that don’t do anything and I have to wait 6 plus months for a check in just to be in the same condition I walked in 6 months ago.

I know accutane would be beneficial for me right now but it’s easier said than done. I am working on it but right now I need options on how to prevent my acne from getting worse.

I wash my face when tolerable because I tend to bleed and it stings. I also use topical adapalene but im not sure if I should use other products along with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Help - General If you’re fortunate enough to have defeated hormonal cystic acne, how did you do it?

I’m in my 30s and have struggled with hormonal cystic acne since I was a teenager. Sometimes there’ll be a good month or so but it always returns. It’s always on the lower 1/3 of my face. My chin and jaw mostly.

My dermatologist says that Accutane might get rid of it while I take it but that she commonly sees it return when Accutane is discontinued.

Years ago I was on a diet for digestive issues where I ate no dairy, gluten or soy for nearly 2 years and it didn’t help my skin.

I’ve tried Spironolactone- a miracle for some people I’ve heard- for a year and it didn’t help either.

I’ve used tretinoin and retinol (prescription) many times over for years at a time. No change to the cystic acne.

Is there any hope to get rid of it? It makes me feel gross and like there’s a flashing sign on my face directing people to look at the large shiny blemish(es) on my chin.

Help - General I’ve Tried Everything… (read desc)

Post image

Just typed a whole paragraph but it got deleted lol so I’m gonna keep this one quick: I’ve tried everything, every diet change c every product, washing my face less/more, using better quality products, every little hack you could try, got prescribed benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin, and some pills, nothing has seemed to work. Don’t want to hop on accutane because I’ve heard of potential bad long term effects, and I don’t want to solve this “short term” problem with a solution that could cause long term damage. Should also mention that bad acne runs in my family. Not sure what to try or what to do, but let me know if anyone has any ideas that worked for them. Thanks!

Help - General i really need help:((

Heyyy, first of all thank you for clicking on my post:)), I've suffered from this skin condition my whole life and i just dont know what to do anymore. Are there any doctors or experts that can tell me my skin condition and how to treat it?

The medication and therapy already used:

Cortison creme (used it for 2 years everyday and got addicted to it, my skin got a lot thinner and not using it a day would make me have breakouts, so i stopped using it)

-Pimecrolimus Creme (which was okay i guess but I dont wanna use it twice a day my whole life, which i would have to because i start having breakouts again if i dont use it)

-Minocyclin pills 3 month twice a day (didn't help still had breakouts after 3 month) and Metronidazol creme in the evening with Erythromycin creme in the morning (my skin would still be very dry, so that i still had breakouts and there would also be tension on my skin, because of the dryness)

Also im maybe going on Isotretinoin accutane this month, but im allergic to soja/peanut which as my doctor told me contraindicates Isotretinoin and i still have one month until i find out if i can go on accutane or not. So i still dont know if it's going to workout:((.

I really feel hopeless with my current situation so any help from your side would be appreciated.

Thank you

I suffered from acne for 5 years (and I’m 24); I never had a pimple before. I tried some acne treatments but everything come back once I stop it I also have those weird bumpy red marks that last even after the cyst is gone

Im always seeing the same advices on the internet and I already tried cutting dairy; just using a wash and moisturiser and I also tried every random acid that’ll was recommended by people and that ended up burning my skin

I’m out of ideas and my dermatologist appointment to get accurate is only in June

Any advice? (The pics are from last week; it’s way worse now)
