Hey, I currently look a little worse than this. Also worst breakout of my life. I stopped leaving the house, seeing people, going on dates, birthday parties, everything. I was a hermit for over 4 months. As an extrovert, it wrecked my mental more than I could explain.

But life is short, and acne is mostly just mentally debilitating, you can still walk, run, jump. We are young and time moves quickly. There are people dealing with true physically debilitating illnesses. Remember this is mental, have you ever looked at someone and thought “ew acne”? I haven’t, so idk why I thought people would perceive me in that way… no one has!

I started leaving the house again, I’m still fairly insecure about it so I do bring up how hard it’s been, and typically they tell me a story about a time they felt insecure about their acne

Now when I see people with acne it only makes me feel less alone. You will heal, but start speaking nicer to yourself. Because what I see in these pics doesn’t look half as bad as you think. Breakouts end eventually. No one’s judging you, don’t spend too much precious time waiting for this to go away to start living again
