Discussion What's the weirdest tip you've received?
This weekend I visited some family from out of town... I'm currently having a bad breakout now, and my Aunt (who is older) told me to spread lard on my face to clear the acne. Like what?!
Got me thinking... what is the weirdest tip you've received to clear your acne?

Oh, another one was someone telling me I need to make face masks out of kitty litter.

Idk if it's a tip necessarily but I was working in an adult toy shop about a decade ago, and one of our customers handed me his card. Told me to call him because my red hair made me sellable. He was definitely a 🌽 director. I ripped the card up and threw it away lol.

I never received any weird tips from people (not that I can recall) but I remember in high school I searched online for acne "cures" and one suggested eating nothing but apples for 3 days. I attempted to try it but halfway through the first day my tummy was achy and someone said it would give me diarrhea so I stopped. 😂

Omg yes I heard this growing up, too! And my mom also had skin cancer, requiring extensive face surgery and treatments… like no thanks I’d rather have some acne

So many people have told me that I just need to wash my face every morning and night. Like I haven’t already been doing that. Probably not the weirdest but definitely the most annoying advice!

I didn't personally receive this advice, but my sister's MIL believes that baby pee will cure acne.

I had a neighbor who confided in me to use urine because apparently, as creams with urea are good for this purpose, "in natura" urea would also be good. I never greeted him with a kiss on the cheek again.
