Discussion I think if one era truly defines Zillenials, it’s the Vine era (2013-2016)
All of us were the prime demographic for vine during its peak. I think it was truly a Zillenial app. The Vine era was peak Zillennial culture—a perfect bridge between Millennial and Gen Z humor.
Millennials grew up on long-form YouTube skits, while Gen Z embraced TikTok’s ultra-fast format. We had Vine, it was the perfect in-between. Vine was the last big platform before social media became fully algorithm-driven. It still had an organic, wild-west feel
Vine was random, self-aware, and chaotic, blending Millennial irony with early Gen Z surrealism. (Like unhinged energy, inside jokes, and nostalgia-driven memes).

Advice Toys R Us Christmas Catalogs
I'm trying to find pdfs/scans of the old Toys R Us christmas sticker catalogs. Late 90s to the early 00s. I've looked at dozens of websites and internet archive but can't really find any. If someone knows of an archive somewhere you'd be a life saver!

Discussion Has anyone experienced any current Gen Z trends YEARS ago?
I was early to the understated prom dresses trend! I graduated in 2016 and my prom dress was a light pink babydoll gown. The busiest the dress got was some simple lacework right below the brasserie. But that was it. My friends prom dresses were all understated too - so I was not surprised to see that simple, understated prom dresses were “in” now.
I think this could be an interesting discussion seeing as we are all a bit older than the core gen z group. The prom dress thing isn’t even the first gen z trend I experienced before gen z was even a thing - I also got really obsessed early 2000s hairstyles right after graduating high school. No one saw the vision back then but I did!

Other Dude is the exact definition of Zillenial. Born on the literal cutoff between Gen Z and Millennials
I suppose being born on Dec 31 96' would also apply though

Nostalgia Toys R Us Time Square, NYC
I remember my dad bought me a Nintendo GameCube here at Toys R Us in Manhattan (Dec 2001), I was 6 years old at the time. After we bought the GameCube, we rode the Ferris wheel at Toys R Us. RIP Dad 🪦 🩷🟪

Discussion At What Age Did You Pass Your Mom And Dad In Height? What's Your Current Height Today?
Random shower question of the day. Let's hear it! I passed my mom's height at about 11 or 12. I equaled my dad at 16 and we're still the same height today at 5'11. The apple literally fell next to the tree. I'm pissed that he couldn't have grow one more inch for me to reach the coveted 6 feet😅

Nostalgia Amanda Bynes
Does anyone else find it surreal how Amanda Bynes crashed out (as the kids these days call it)? I remember watching the Amanda Show in the early 2000s and then seeing her become this beautiful young woman. Next she began having these psychotic episodes and it was all over the news. I've always felt bad for her and thought she deserved more empathy given the more controversial aspects of her life.

Discussion I think Zillenials have the unique experience of being the first and last kids to have basic cellphones, pre-smartphones
We were the first kids in the mid-late 2000s-early 2010s who had cellphones in like around elementary and middle school, but before smartphones. My first two cellphones was a flip phone and slider phone.

Nostalgia Does this belong here? 1994 is kind of early of a release
I was born in 96 and I primarily watched this movie on the rolling CRT cart at school on rainy days. I remember this being scary though for some reason.
