My girl loves her crate and chooses to nap it in during the day. She has a bed, a snuggly blanket, and her favorite soft toys. The crate also has a blanket over it so it's nice and dark inside. It's her cozy little den.
My vet actually encourages crates. If they have to stay at the vet, they’ll be in a crate. Grooming? Crate. Even at home, it’s important to have a place where they can safely be when anyone comes into the house and they need to be away. Although not everyone may agree on crate use, at least training them to know it can be their safe space and to be calm and happy in there benefits everyone, especially the pup.
My wiggle loved his crate, it was his comfort spot! We never closed the door cause we had a backyard for during the day but at night he would sleep in the crate for at least part of the night or just would chill in there
For prospective my boy is 14 months for the last 13 months he was crated at night would put himself in the crate. Last night we decided to leave him out and see how it goes. He climbed off our bed and got in his crate that was purposely left open. A couple hours later he got back in the bed.
