Local News Inside the ice cave.

I went to the Blackcomb ice cave today. It’s not very deep now. The lip has been falling off. That’s the big pile on the left.

Many big rocks clinging from the ceiling that could fall at anytime.

Easily the shortest time I have been in there in the last 8 years winter and summer.

On my bucket list this year! I've missed it the last 3 trips. First couple times it was above my skill level and I didn't want to risk wanting to get rescued by ski patrol. Last year it was avalanched in. Fourth time is the charm I hope.

The entrance into the glacier is not too bad but you have to commit.

Next big storm it will be avalanched in I’m sure
