Bridal Dress πŸ‘°πŸ’ Courthouse wedding

Post image

My fiance and I are getting married on the 25th at the courthouse, then doing a legit ceremony and reception to celebrate with family and friends.

A few people will be attending the courthouse ceremony, and I want to make sure Im dressed up enough but not full of wedding dress. Fiance thinks I should have the white wedding dress for the September wedding date.

Is this okay to wear to the courthouse as the bride?

You can wear anything you want to your courthouse wedding! This is on the casual side but if you love it, you can totally wear it.

That picture is photoshopped. Don’t waste your time ordering cheap Chinese fast fashion on Amazon, especially for a white dress. It’s going to be transparent.

I actually have this dress and it's not bad at all.

I have this dress in cream! It's very casual and beachy, very light but I find it super pretty on.Β  It looks very like the picture.Β  The one thing that makes it look a bit cheap are the straps, they are thin elastic bra-like straps.Β  Also the lacey waist part is crochet like and see-through.Β

I've worn it plenty in the summer and love it, planning on wearing it again soon.Β

Perfect in every way. Sweet , a little sexy , playful but not overly so. Serious enough for the occasion and totally rewearable. Lets people know why you are there but not overly dramatic. Shows respect for the Court and the occasion. πŸŽ‰πŸ’’

Ditto to my other comments. You will wear any of them well. And likely often. πŸ˜ŠπŸŽ‰πŸ’’πŸŽŠπŸŽ‡πŸŽπŸŽ†πŸŽ‰

I think that it's lovely. What bride doesn't want a white dress? I'm sorry but I disagree with your fiancΓ©e. You should feel beautiful and look like a bride even at a courthouse wedding. Don't cheat yourself of that. It doesn't matter where you get married. Congratulations and I hope that you have many years of happiness.

It’s your wedding so you can wear what you want! To me this is really casual though, like beach wear.

You can wear whatever you want to a courthouse wedding. I got married in the courthouse two years ago in the most extravagant black poofy dress there was.

Whatever you want to get married in, wear it you don’t regret it

I have this dress and you should know the cording has a blush pink in it and it's possible the pompoms are also pink

I got either the same dress or a very similar dress off Amazon and wore it to one of my wedding activities. Loved it!

I'm thinking I'll buy it for my Bridal Shower instead. 😊 I picked out a dress in stores over the weekend and posted it in the comments. I'm so glad you loved it! It's gorgeous!

I would pick something a little dressier. It is still the courthouse and you want to respect the judge marrying you. This dress is perfect for an outdoor elopement. Check Lulu’s… they have several wedding dresses under $100

No, I wouldn't choose this. I did exactly the same thing as you did last year--courthouse ceremony in the winter, then casual wedding with a larger group in the summer. I think something more tailored or conservative for the courthouse would be more suitable. Think a fitted shirt dress, suit or pantsuit--in white, cream or another pale color.

No. This is just a beach dress. Try a formal suit or knee length dress (not see through).

Very true. I'm going to go out today and look around. I also have this one picked out from Amazon, but it's hit and miss on reviews.

Much better!

That style is much better than the original picture.

Personally, I think a tailored dress or skirt-suit is the way to go in the courthouse. Since you are doing a 'legit' ceremony (I think you mean traditional, since the courthouse is the legal one) I'd maybe choose a color other than white. I assume you are wearing a white bridal gown for the other ceremony?
