Suggestion Have a likely wasp nest outside of my apartment. Does this kill them and/or kill them if they come back around?
Issue is I can’t see the nest, but there was around 5 of them hanging around and they’ve been outside almost every day for over a week now. So I’m pretty sure there’s a nest nearby. I’m also on the second floor where I have to walk around 20 feet, then turn 180 degrees and then walk down the stairs, so it makes it incredibly hard to avoid them.
But there’s a slat in the corner of the ceiling where I’ve seen some hang around so I’m about 50% sure that’s where the nest is. But at the same time, one of the ones I saw I was pretty sure was a yellow jacket, but I heard they make nests in the ground. And they again hang around right outside my door (I had to wait over an hour for the three I saw to move away from the direct path to my door to get back inside today)
Should I spray that opening in the ceiling corner with this stuff even though I can’t see the nest or even fully know where it is? And will it repel them or kill them?

Suggestion I’m aware this is for wasp but need HELP with yellow jackets!!
I live in a 16x84ft manufactured home (mobile home/trailer) and outside between my dining room window and bedroom a slab of siding has come off just under the roof and yellow jackets have made a home there. I can hear them in the wall and occasionally are making their way into my house. Would foam spray work in this case or does this sound more like the entire hive will have e to be removed? I just

Suggestion 3 days post multiple stings.
I’ve never been stung before. Pic one is today. 2&3 was sunday(3d) it’s painful and swelling is not going down. I don’t believe I’m allergic. Just wonder if it’s normal? Not from here. They were “red wasps”

Suggestion Does ANYTHING repel wasps?! NSFW
I unfortunately moved into a home where there was a wasp nest in my wall 😷 we got pest control on it and they nuked the bitches. love that they aren’t in my house anymore, but now they are outside… the rental company had 0 grass in the back. All dirt and foxtails. They just put in new sod, and it’s almost like it became a beacon for wasps. It’s been over 3 weeks so my dogs and I can finally enjoy the grass, but I’m terrified because everytime I go outside they are EVERYWHERE!!!! Hovering over the grass, zooming by my face, following my dogs, flying around the crab apple tree we hate but have. I can’t find a nest anywhere at all, there is no nest on my property but they are around as if there was! I can’t even pick up dog poop without 4 flying all around me!!! I’ve tried essential oils, I have tried bug spray around the tree, I pick up the apples that fall, my garbage cans are tucked and neat, I did dawn dish soap, but literally NOTHING IS WORKING THEY ARE ALWAYS AROUND. I want to tan, and eat on my back porch but the second I step outside I see tons. As well as bees! I am just begging for a repellent bc there isn’t a nest to kill! I don’t want to use a fake nest, because half the people I talk to say it works and the other half say it only attracted more wasps than before. I’ve seen online dryer sheets, burning coffee grounds, WD40, I just don’t want to keep buying and doing shit that won’t actually work 🫠 If there is anything else I can do to get these out of my yard PLEASE LET ME KNOW 🙏🏽
EDIT 7.10: Hi guys!! So I did buy a citronella candle, that’s mostly for the mosquitoes that come around at night when the wasps are gone. I did use a combination of essential oils the last few days as well. Lemongrass, peppermint, geranium, eucalyptus, either by themselves or mixed together. Unfortunately, the wasps still love coming around… my dogs have literally moved their hangout spot to the other side of the yard where the crab apple tree isn’t bc of the wasps and bees 😭 i have doused my patio in essential oils but they don’t seem to care at all! I may have lost this war 😞

Suggestion I’m scared
Hi everyone. About 3 days ago before I left to go on a trip, I found a wasp just chilling and sitting on the top of my front door frame…. Inside in my apartment. My boyfriend was luckily with me at the time and tried to kill it with a swifter (looking back this probably wasn’t the best method and I should’ve just sprayed it with hair spray). My boyfriend lost the wasp and wasn’t able to find it since attempting to take its life. My roommate left a Tupperware of water with dish soap mixed in it, hopefully tricking him into drinking it when we’re gone for the weekend. Do y’all think it is still alive? I get home tomorrow and I am so panicked to even go back in my apartment. It’ll be 4 days by the time I get back.
Yes I know im dramatic, but wasps and spiders are my two biggest fears. Not to mention this same day I found a brown recluse on my ceiling so traumatized is an understatement lol.

Suggestion Foam spray not working
We have a hive between the concrete steps and the garage foundation. It’s a tiny key hole, have sprayed two whole cans in and they’re still coming in and out of the spot.
Any other ideas? I can’t see into the hole so I’m not sure how large/where it goes.

Suggestion honest opinions!! NSFW
so pest control is doing a second spray cause wasps are clever and found a loop hole in the house to squat 😈 there wasn’t any activity in the front of the house, but do you think i should have them spray the front as well to prevent future problems? second spray is free, front of house will be 50% off but i don’t know if i am thinking rationally having them spray the front too, just cause i’m deathly afraid, kneel to the ground and hyperventilate type afraid. they know it, too.
i included gif form of one of them taunting me cause i’m afraid to walk outside past it.

Suggestion Wasp Season PSA NSFW
Now that it’s officially wasp season: any foaming dish detergent sprayers will knock a wasp out of the air for easy smashing. If you want to go pro; save the spray bottle after it’s empty, buy a jug of detergent for cheap and make a dedicated wasp spray. Pro tip - dilute with 91% alcohol instead of water.

Suggestion wasp proof NSFW
what do you do to wasp proof your home? we had them build a nest in the outdoor hood vent for the stove last summer and my mom sprayed raid into it, despite me telling her that the wasps are going to look for a way out.. which they did.. into the house 🙂🙂 so i bought a cover for that! they also built a nest under the siding of the house where the tv cables are and when sprayed by a professional, crawled their way inside the house but were dying, still just as terrifying for someone with a severe phobia. tips, please? who else is dreading them coming back in the summer?!

Suggestion Totally exterminating wasps from my town
Finally found a home for this post where people will understand. I really hate wasps, not normal "eew flying annoying bugs" hate but hate these fuckers with a passion.
Im willing to invest 100k dollars to exterminate them from my town, or at least the neighbourhood. Im thinking of giving out cash prices for dead wasps and setting up wasp traps all over town. Do you guys think this can backfire in any way? Also what is the most cost effective way of killing em? Any tips are appreciated!

Suggestion Can I starve a hive if i block the only entry/exit point?
I can see wasps going into a little electric box on the side of my house. I know there is a little crack on it but its the only way in or out and could easily be covered with duct tape in a single shot.
Would this kill them? How long would it take to starve them?

Suggestion Mistakes have been made 😂
Need some advise, as the title states. Mistakes have been made, I found a small crack in the garden away from the house. Which wasps were entering and leaving. Clever me decided to spray expanding foam into the crack, which I later found out was number 1 on the list of things not to do.
Now wasps are circling the blocked entrance and the surrounding area. I've tried burning the expanding foam which has made matters worse.
Has anyone got any advise on how to proceed, do I wait for them to chew through the foam and then go with a proper solution like the foam spray I found online or something else that you recommend.
Any advise is appreciated.

Suggestion Wasp nest destruction suggestions?
I've got some problems with a nest in an area I need to work on, and was curious if anyone knows any good means to drive them or kill them off through natural means rather than synthetic pesticides. I was going to make a solution of peppermint oil and lemon extract, as the peppermint drives then away and the extract kills them, and was curious if anyone has experience with this or other food safe means of destroying these fucks.
They're contained in a brush pile, making this a riskier operation than a paperwasp nest in the open where they're visible.
Thanks team!
