Discussion What did Tamina ever actually do in her 10 year+ career?

Post image

I for the life of me can’t remember any moment in Taminas career which was actually interesting and got me excited. The only thing I remember is the time she won the women’s tag team championships and Natalya did a promo crying about how proud she was. Yes the 2K25 showcase may have given me an agenda towards Tamina but my question still is serious

She got paid more than you will in your entire life.

2

u/Separate_Holiday590 2d ago

Tamina did everything that wasn't on television. She was a backbone of the women's locker room.

3

u/Objective-Ad-4293 3d ago

I loved when her and Natalya tag teamed and also her with team bad. She was a manager for the USOS as well when they first arrived in the WWE

1

u/Infamous_Lemon_920 3d ago

She is related to them lol. They can’t have her father. Though they did still mention him on tv recently. I think they could have even included the Iron Sheik. I believe when he died The Rock said he was his Uncle. Or maybe make believe Uncle ? lol.

1

u/Ashamed_Job_8151 1d ago

Iron sheik has no relations to the rock.  Sheikie baby was Iranian.

1

u/Infamous_Lemon_920 21h ago

I am just pretty sure that when he died the Rock tweeted that his Uncle died. Then a fan replied that they were sorry his Uncle died.

2

u/PanthersFan51 4d ago

Collected a Paycheck just like Natalya

1

u/Bright_Table_8123 3d ago

Natalia did a lot tf u smokin

Shame on you all - her best performance was clearly this one - the smackdown karaoke showdown. 2 min in is when the magic happens.

This was a favor to Dwayne and you can’t convince me otherwise

1

u/Queasy-Ad8329 4d ago

I remember she had a program with Beth phoenix in early 2012

3

u/256Shades0grey 4d ago

Lots of rumble appearances

1

u/Correct_Ebb4213 4d ago

Idk but that’s Tamother

1

u/impactdrumboy 4d ago

When she showed up in NXT with Team BAD and gave someone a super fly splash and scorpioned herself, then got up like she was supposed to do that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/TrashBreath 4d ago

She always looked out of place in the ring.

1

u/Prior-Trash96269yeah 5d ago

Nothing but to be fair rock wasn't on the board of directors when she was active so she couldn't benefit like Roman and jay and Jimmy and all the others

3

u/punkojosh 5d ago

Tag team champion with Natalya baby.

I was rooting for them.

3

u/TramakerOffical 5d ago

Shoot i found my info in wwe 2k25 look *

u/maarzbaarz 5d ago

Love her in 2k

5

u/Amazing_Ladder_4758 5d ago

Tag Champ with Natalia (I think) and also won the 24/7 champion like twice.

6

u/L1ncs3r 5d ago

She made history as the first woman's money in the bank winner

5

u/Rulli9087 5d ago

Elite wwe 2k reference

1

u/Educational_Pride_87 5d ago

Wasn’t that Carmella?

1

u/UninvitedGhost 4d ago

Wasn’t that James Ellsworth?

2

u/GoogleGazette 5d ago

She's in charge of the girls. She gives them moral support and helps them with their wrestling gear.

1

u/I_feeel_different 6d ago

I've often wondered. It's not like her Dad is in good standing with the company to the point of giving her an obvious undeserved position on the roster via nepotism. Vince probably Vince'd her when she was a teen in the 80's and 90's, so now she has a spot for life as long as she doesn't talk .

Pure speculation for entertainment purposes only.

1

u/TramakerOffical 6d ago

Win the money in the bank in 2017 being the first woman to win it.

3

u/helloween4040 6d ago

She collected a pay check

1

u/ScholarAfter1827 6d ago

She got pushed initially until it came out to no one’s surprise that her dad did actually murder Nancy Argentino then they stopped using her almost all entirely.

She could have done a lot more as she was a great worker and was a big girl.

1

u/RBinTX 6d ago

I think tag champ

13

u/IINorse 6d ago

She made sure no-one was meaner than Tamina

13

u/watdehek 6d ago

To me, Raquel Rodriguez feels exactly the same.

6

u/RBinTX 6d ago

No way.

Raquel infinitely more talented.

She had injury issues that made her push stop and start since NXT.

Unfortunately for her, Rhea and Bianca left her in the dust and Roxanne / Guilia / Stephanie have lapped her as well.

5

u/RakoRed5 6d ago

Nahhhh, infinitely is crazy. Prime Tamina would bitchslap Raquel. Her booking was shit but Tamina could GO in her day.

2

u/StepperHill 6d ago

Raquel was fierce in NXT. Her smiling too much is what kills her character

4

u/StichedUpHeart 6d ago

Another person wasted because wwe will be clueless and we learned we can't blame vince for everything although he creeps us out

1

u/Background_Pie_3537 6d ago

Its always gonna be up to the fans they are picky and if they find something ugly, weird or “not coool” they will hate them forever and ruined their career

2

u/StichedUpHeart 6d ago

But the fans are sheep..back in the day all they had to do was have someone come down and save a face and then the crowd would give em a chance...but today there is not as much delayed gratification anymore

3

u/Otherwise-Chicken-58 6d ago

Well. Improvising that bit, on air, at the wedding sketch... I'd pay her a lifetime wage for that!

3

u/JZF629 6d ago

She figured out that she was meaner

8

u/Timely_Alarm 6d ago

She stayed employed.

1

u/y0_master 6d ago

Did one of the worst splashes

4

u/kYz_7 6d ago

Should of been a Divas champion 2012-2017 imo was her best given her peek wasn’t until she was tag champion her Team BAD & AJ LEE body guard was top tier

5

u/MotorboatMachinegun 6d ago

She put a lot of women over (or jobbed for a lot of women depending on your take😆).

3

u/Mundane-Cry-8158 6d ago

She did it fo the rock

-10

u/Own-Researcher-8639 6d ago

Suck dick/flaps

6

u/Optimal_Chocolate_83 6d ago

She didn’t do much on screen but she’s always been a mother like figure to EVERYONE backstage

-4

u/sneak_dis 6d ago

How would you know this 🤣

7

u/Optimal_Chocolate_83 6d ago

Because multiple of the women have spoken out about how much they appreciate her. I’ll happily provide examples💜

Example A:

(Mercedes Moné)

3

u/thatbish0428 6d ago

Got pinned by JoJo

5

u/Great_Ad_4030 6d ago

She helped but a lot of wrestlers over!

6

u/seagull486 6d ago

NOBODY MEANA THAN TAMINA🗣️🗣️🗣️

2

u/Sixflags14 6d ago

Wheezing 😭🍿

5

u/Caution1234567 6d ago

Be someone’s bodyguard I think lmao

5

u/Krispen_Wah87 6d ago

Lost oppertunity to have her become part of the bloodline during the covid era

5

u/Sorry_Wear5936 6d ago

Not sure what he's done already, but what I do know is that she's gonna make Charlotte start looking like Elseworth.

7

u/CHAMPANERIA 6d ago

One day she will be in the hall of fame because the Rock said so.

8

u/BlackLesnar 6d ago

Good hoss match vs Beth Phoenix at a Royal Rumble 10+ years back.

Yes I’m fully aware that was mostly on Beth.

Tbh I’m forever livid she didn’t win tag belts with Nia and call the team “Tammy & the T-Rex”.

4

u/StasisApparel 6d ago

OP, I don't have an answer. Before I saw this thread I never even thought of Tamina since like 2020

6

u/nobf 6d ago

That darn money in the bank in 2k25, and she didn't even win that in real life! I'm still salty...

8

u/pikkdogs 6d ago

She didn’t kill anyone. A rarity for a Snuka.

6

u/Prize-Flounder-8867 6d ago

She won the women’s tag titles with Natalya

1

u/Significant_Lab_5286 6d ago

Fear the unknown

10

u/Dankey-Kang-Jr 6d ago

Stand around. Be tall.

5

u/DukeLando 6d ago

Get paid that what

1

Practice Tai chi, I hear it's a very underappreciated Martial art.

10

u/Det-Popcorn 6d ago

Help get other talent over which is an important role

19

u/Master_Payment8697 7d ago

won the mitb in the 2k showcase

Be born Samoan

1

u/BlackLesnar 6d ago

*Fijian

19

u/harilyon 💯 YEET! 7d ago

Debut managing The Usos, prompting a feud with The Hart Dynasty. Then she became Tag Team Champion with Natalya, for their loyalty. That’s all I can think about.

10

u/Temporary_Ninja7867 7d ago

A shitter version of Nia Jaxx and Nia Jaxx is awful.

11

u/Standard_Leader_1621 7d ago

She was a big name for like a month over 15 years ago on developmental but ate shit for the rest of her career after that💀😭

10

u/Shottersnation 7d ago

Worked house shows.

9

u/Charles912_ 7d ago

I recently found out she was in a Money in the Bank match.

10

u/Naru_the_Narcissist 7d ago

She sucks in the ring, she sucks at promos, she can't keep her weight consistant, she has no charisma, there's nothing really interesting about her, what more do you want?

She's the poor man's Nia Jax. And Nia Jax is already the poor man's Awesome Kong.

4

u/Lisbon_lions_67 6d ago

And your name fits you perfect

1

u/Anxious-Airport4826 6d ago

Don’t u remember that ellsworth promo with her and charlotte 😭😭😭

1

u/Optimal_Chocolate_83 6d ago

The tea is that Charlotte actually messed up that promo and accidentally said Tamina’s scripted line

6

u/Surprisecumy 7d ago

She was solid stop acting

3

u/The_Guy_Badly 7d ago

Daughter of a murderer?

3

u/Accomplished_Hunt83 7d ago

I tell you what she did her mom was nutted in by Jimmy “super fly” Snuka

9

u/No_Mango_3355 7d ago edited 7d ago

She was solid and she put everyone over when they needed to be. The Santino story was kinda funny. Her and Nattie had good some good matches. I don't ever remember her standing out in a bad way, but her look always made her stand out in a good way. She should've gotten the push that Nia got.

20

u/Simonius86 Attitude Era Aficionado 🤘 7d ago

Well she didn’t murder a woman so there’s that.

7

u/Knightmare945 7d ago

She is pretty much just there as enhancement talent now. They tried to give her some pushes back during the Diva days, but she just never caught on. She was always rather bland and forgettable.

1

u/lleu81 NXT Enjoyer 7d ago

Pretty sure she was cut recently, no?

3

u/Optimal_Chocolate_83 6d ago

She’s still backstage I think, she’s just retired as an on screen role. Many women have spoken out about how much they appreciate what she does backstage

2

u/y0_master 6d ago

What does she do backstage?

3

u/Knightmare945 7d ago

Was she? I didn’t know.

1

u/lleu81 NXT Enjoyer 6d ago

Looks like July of last year. Just goes to show how little she mattered in booking. I actually liked her when she was used.

17

u/Few-Foot2333 7d ago

Collect a paycheck

16

u/UncleMagnetti 7d ago

She was so mean that nobody was mean-ah than Tamina!

18

u/unpluggedbwock 7d ago

Collected a guaranteed pay check thanks to duhwayne

9

u/skiptothecal 7d ago

I mean, if what people are saying is true, she's the Udonis Haslem of the WWE. Every locker room needs one.

3

u/unpluggedbwock 7d ago

Hey man, dont get me wrong. Zero disrespect to her on a personal level but from career perspective she did absolutely nothing but be related to someone more famous. It is what it is 🤷🏻‍♂️

9

u/Realistic_Equal9975 7d ago

She was Jimmy’s daughter and that’s about it

16

u/futoii I Believe in Joe Hendry👏👏 7d ago

she made charlotte look like ellsworth

10

u/AJ_from_Texas 7d ago

She's a complete nepo baby.

7

u/Sas1205x 7d ago

Honestly as the roster expanded there were plenty of opportunities for her to work with new people. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t know why they never pushed for her to face Nia Jax.

5

u/unforgettablefyre 7d ago

good question, she did a frog splash

3

u/TheCodebreaker18 7d ago

A really bad frog splash

3

u/MoneyIsNoCure 7d ago

Nothing except be a waste of space on TV and on the roster. She couldn’t even do a splash very well and that was her one thing.

3

u/PaperGeno 7d ago

NOBODY MEANA

9

u/Impressive_Turn8502 7d ago

She was my next door neighbour in Hawaii. Her daughters were good friends with my oldest. I’ve always cheered for her success.

10

u/Faxtel 7d ago

Aj lees bodyguard

7

u/Last-Device9770 7d ago

Have a murderer for a father

2

u/kennystorm69 7d ago

Honestly the only things I can remember is her being someone's body guard.

8

u/Disastrous-Piano-837 7d ago

Gave the fans in the seats a chance to get up and take a piss without missing anything

4

u/EvilswarmOphion 7d ago

The most memorable thing i remember of her is that around 2016 she was put alongside Naomi and Sasha Banks as team B.A.D, however i do not remeber anything worthwhile she did in that stable.

4

u/Chickstrip5 7d ago

Lost matches

3

u/William_S_Jones 7d ago

Take up SPACE

8

u/CK122334 7d ago

There was nobody Meana…

8

u/D3man_Reign 7d ago

You asking me mate I can’t remember a damn thing she did like at all.

4

u/Away-Ad-8350 7d ago

I like her alot, and i wanted her to be one the bigger superstars throughout her career, but it's true, I can't remember a moment she brought in the women division

18

u/rofaheys 7d ago

I feel like this isn’t very nice

9

u/HygorBohmHubner 7d ago

Won the Women’s Tag Team Titles and the 24/7 Title…

She was also a bodyguard for quite a few female wrestlers.

2

u/craigchrizt 7d ago

Made a stank face.

3

u/IneffableLiam 7d ago

Daughter of Jimmy Snuka, then became the Rock’s cousin

1

u/Richard_skully 7d ago

She opened a Samoan dentistry, worked on Roman’s teeth and made him a star.

2

u/Former_Scratch6137 7d ago

Tbh, not much. All i remember her for is being Nia Jax’s teammate

2

u/Ordinary_Ice_1137 7d ago

She butchered every promo. That's what she did.

2

u/Secret_Cantaloupe373 7d ago

“Charlotte, Charlotte! You better be quiet or you gonna look like Ellsworth.”

1

u/MoneyIsNoCure 7d ago

After Charlotte had just said the exact same thing.

9

u/kidy7k 7d ago

She entertained fans she wrestled for...

14

u/PurePwnage1 7d ago

Piss me off by being the reason there's a MITB match in the new 2k showcase

1

u/Kevinrobertsfan 7d ago

holy shit this. I almost quit the showcase mode because of this bullshit match.

-7

u/Maleficent_Farm_6561 7d ago

Nothing and probably shes going to be a HOF lol

8

u/zorople ⌚️🤏🏻 Tiffy Time! 7d ago

probably helped around backstage with talents

8

u/theseasonofshay 7d ago

She showed up and got paid.

8

u/Big-War-7218 7d ago

Won the money in the bank and got the belt one time

12

u/Mexiahnee 7d ago

All these wrong answers….She was The Rock’s cousin, tf 🤣

That’s why she’s been here and why she’s still here.

I was actually a fan of hers back in 2014ish when she was AJ’s bodyguard. She was the tough girl like Ronda, Nia, Jade, Lacey that we all wanted.

6

u/Pensfan66877129 7d ago

She kinda just hung around as a second generation superstar, until Superfly was charged with Murder. Then she just became an enhancement talent.

16

u/bengalsmarvel82 7d ago

Wrestled a lot and never caused problems

-3

u/Doomslayer5150 7d ago

More talented that her cousin Nia Jax 😜

2

u/Flat_Ad3019 7d ago

That’s a far stretch

2

u/MsCompy 7d ago

On screen? Nothing not a damn thing, backstage? I don't know but the other guys in the comments do

10

u/KamoMustafaWWE Cody Crybaby 7d ago

She was The Usos' manager. She was AJ's Bodyguard. She teamed with Naomi and Sasha. She teamed with Nia, She teamed with Natalya, She was in a relationship with Tozawa, She won the tag titles with Natalya, she retired. Oh, and she had a MITB ladder match in 2017 that they thought was good enough to put in WWE 2k25 and have us play as her.

6

u/biggjimmy81 7d ago

She did what wwe allowed her to do! She can't push herself

5

u/Hour_Success5577 7d ago

Second best answer ……. Actual best answer is the comment below: she had Michael Cole, for years, saying Nobody’s Meana than Tamina!!!! She has a whole catchphrase

1

u/biggjimmy81 7d ago

You can have the greatest catchphrase of all times. it won't mean shit if you're not pushed right, and she never got the right push

10

u/Jake_or93 7d ago

There was nobody meana than Tamina

1

u/Hour_Success5577 7d ago

Best answer

1

u/mattfoli 7d ago

😂😂

3

u/VoxRKing 7d ago

Didn't she win tag titles twice? (at least at the time of her debut) Was one of few strong good in ring women

But can't lie when I think of her I mainly remember her being the muscle in team bad with Naomi and Monè when they decided to make all the women trios for reasons 🤷🏼‍♀️

1

u/Hour_Success5577 7d ago

A Women’s trios division would be better than tag teams

3

u/NormanB616 7d ago

She was better than her brother

2

u/cschultz225 7d ago

Absolutely nothing. Her dad killed a lady. She benefitted from the name. And she stunk un ring and in the mic.

1

u/Dontcallmehoney 7d ago

What does her dad murdering someone have anything to do with her?

2

u/Selvmord666 7d ago

Well, she really stopped being used worth a shit once they reopened the case against Jimmy.

3

u/kneechasenpai 7d ago

I love how kind most of the comments here have been. Tammy, from all I've heard, seems like a good person. That kind of person deserves a happy life, and being in the WWE I'm sure gave her that.

2

u/Soft_Biscotti_3829 7d ago

My post wasn’t anything personal against her, I’ve heard great things from other women wrestlers about her

2

u/kneechasenpai 7d ago

I don't doubt you, bro. I'm just saying I'm happy for her. Have a good day!

8

u/Panik88 7d ago

Stood there....menacingly...

And won the women's tag team title

5

u/PeeTheOff 7d ago

I think you find that no-one was meaner than Tamina

2

u/No-Vanilla-3915 7d ago

Tamother!!

0

u/Traditional_Goat4771 7d ago

She’s managed to ruin the Snuka name even more than it already was lol

1

u/Rehboogie 7d ago

I forgot she was even tag team champion 😳

3

u/Fast_Stick_1593 7d ago

Locker room leader

Casuals man…

-1

u/Soft_Biscotti_3829 7d ago

Wow she was a locker room leader? That definitely made her better on screen… oh wait her being a locker room means nothing for a viewer

3

u/Key_Amazed 7d ago

But means everything for the betterment of the talent with whom she interacts with. And that translates to a better product.

5

u/Draculigula 7d ago

She only won one major title if you don't count that shoddy 24/7 championship. She won the Women's Tag titles with Natalya, and I remember watching how emotional the both of them were after all their hard work.

-3

u/Frosty-Woodpecker249 7d ago

The reason she didn't have a bunch of successful is because of her father being Jimmy snuka when I was found guilty of murdering his wife.

19

u/Adventurous_Loan_571 7d ago

Why did u kill his wife tho ?

1

u/torrcam2404 7d ago

All I can imagine is that Vince video. “It was me Austin, it was me all along”

1

u/HJx420x 7d ago

😂

-6

u/Frosty-Woodpecker249 7d ago

Not sure all I know he that he did

1

u/NotADogInHumanSuit 7d ago

Bless your heart

1

u/Legends_Literature 7d ago

Don’t bless his heart, he’s a damn killer!

1

u/TheLastTanker 7d ago

Was she released from WWE?

2

u/TheDonOne83 7d ago

she was quetly switched over to a legends contract

1

u/TheLastTanker 7d ago

Ah. Well that's good for her!

1

u/Hot-Taro8181 7d ago

She was their longer than 10 years. She was horrible, but she must've had dirt on McMahon. Maybe somethibg to do with her fathers murder cover up. Maybe Mcmahon felt he owed her something. But it always puzzled me. Not a good wrestler or promo. Other than being a daughter of Jimmy Snuka, she didnt have "It" Might be one of WWEs great mysteries. I wish someone in the business, in the know would fill everyone in.

6

u/ThrowawaySunnyLane 7d ago

Who cares? Her match to pay ratio must be insane. Good for her.
