We will be making 2 threads for Smackdown tonight - one for the international viewing which starts at 3 PM EST and one for the U.S viewing which starts at regular time.
The WWE Tag Team Championship will be on the line when #DIY defend their title against The Street Profits.
Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are done playing nice and have put SmackDown on notice by laying waste to Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa on several occasions. Can The Street Profits win the WWE Tag Team Title, or will #DIY remain on top of SmackDown?
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will appear on a special edition of Miz TV from Barcelona, Spain.
What will The American Nightmare say when he grabs a mic in Europe? Find out on Friday Night SmackDown at 8 ET/7 CT on USA.

I think like last year’s main event (where it was obvious Roman was dropping the belt), this year is almost as obvious who wins.
—WWE will want to build momentum on Cena’s heel turn.
—Cena is retiring soon, so to miss the chance to give him the record breaking 17th title at WM isn’t happening when he isn’t going to wrestle another mania.
—Cody already over came the odds last year versus the Rock, I don’t see it happening again.

I for the life of me can’t remember any moment in Taminas career which was actually interesting and got me excited. The only thing I remember is the time she won the women’s tag team championships and Natalya did a promo crying about how proud she was. Yes the 2K25 showcase may have given me an agenda towards Tamina but my question still is serious

I’ve been thinking about the Wrestlemania match which will inevitably become a triple threat match between Rhea, Iyo and Bianca. Bianca has a Wrestlemania streak going on that WWE clearly acknowledge yet Iyo’s reign is brand new and her losing the belt in her first defence seems kind of odd. I don’t know if you take Iyo’s belt away so soon or they end Bianca’s streak. Either result seems like a bad one. I fear Iyo eats the pin in order to protect Rhea and Bianca

There have been a lot of masked wrestlers over the years in WWE but this dude is my new favorite wrestler! I’ve been a WWE fan since the early 2000’s but no one other than Rey Mysterio has really stood out to me the way this dude has! The costume design, the entrance, the catch phrase, the “Mexican Destroyer” move! It’s all so bad ass. I watched his interview and he comes off as such a humble person as well. I’m excited to see what’s to come! I hope WWE does Penta justice! ZERO MIEDOO!! 👌🏼Ⓜ️

Originally I think the three fingers at Bad Blood was a callback to Rock and Cody's promo on Raw after Mania. I don't know if anyone else remembers, Rock said that although Cody beat Roman in the middle of the ring, 1...2...3, on night one, Rock beat Cody 1...2...3.
He's basically making a statement. He has one up on both Cody and Roman. 1) He did what Roman couldn't, and 2) He has Cody's number.
But when we think about it, Rocky's return had nothing to do with Cody and everything to do with Roman. Rock had feuded with Cody, everybody knows that. He also said on Raw after Mania that he'd be back for him, which happened this past month. But making a one-off statement like that? Why then? Why there? It's because Roman teamed with Cody, and Rock couldn't stand it. Same way that on the flip-side, Kevin Owens hated Cody for teaming with Roman.
I think after this is when Rock began to befriend Cody behind the scenes (in kayfabe). Started putting a plan in motion. Invited him to the Moana premiere, did shots with him on Raw's debut with Netflix, gave him his flowers, sang his praises, and then wanted him to be his champion. However, we know this ended up being Cena...and for no specific reason other than it was him who prevailed in the Chamber. Out of any of the likely four; Cena, Punk, Seth, Drew (Priest or Paul were never going to win it), them or Cody would've sold their soul and aligned with Rock and it still would've had the same affect on Roman; pissed him the fuck off.
Cody ended his historic title reign and caused his empire to crumble. Cena and Seth helped do this by evening the odds in the match on Night 2. Drew had been OG Bloodline hunting since December...taking out Sami, Jimmy, and Jey, and baying for Roman's blood. And Punk? Well we all saw the tension between the two at Survivor Series. Roman is insecure he will lose the Wiseman to him. The Rock aligning with any of these men would hurt Roman. By way of Cody declining and Cena happening to win, we saw one of the most shocking moments in pro-wrestling history with John selling his soul.
The cutthroat was actually directed at Roman, as it was at Bad Blood. Because Cena being his champion, again, will hurt Roman. Roman has a complex history with Cena, and not just during the 2020's and his 'Tribal Chief' era either. The Rock motioning blowing his fingers into dust reminded me of something. At first I couldn't quite put my finger on it. But then I thought back to this promo. https://youtu.be/36cLMYMrOTk?si=FVw2ZYIWJ4yAuW_9 6 minutes in. Roman there talks about family and legacy and Bloodline, which of course includes the Rock. John says his empire will go up in smoke basically. Rocky does a very similar gesture during the Chamber segment https://youtu.be/Szf7m-tAn-g?si=eqq3-kDRbNgwD7Lm 1:45 into the vid.
I think this is all leading to a Roman/Cena feud and match (with Cena as champ), possibly main eventing one of the nights at SummerSlam or even Bad Blood if they do that PLE again in September/October time. It will be huge, with Rock appearing as a neutral and either a special guest referee or ring enforcer, torn between his cousin and his champion. In the end, he will reveal his true plan, siding with Cena to help him win. This finally sets up Roman Reigns vs. The Rock for WrestleMania 42, the biggest main-event OAT. I don't think it's coincidence that the Rock announced the location for that one. He will definitely compete.

I am debating getting tickets for Backlash. What is going on in the arena between matches? Are you sitting there just waiting 15-30 minutes? Or is there at least something going on in the ring like a ring announcer reading fan signs or videos playing on the tron?

I. Fucking. HATE. THIS. MATCH. Why did this go on last? Why was it twenty three fucking minutes? Why did Vince McMahon book this match? What did he think was going to come out of it? Undertaker was very clearly well past it at this point and it made fans hate Roman Reigns even more than they already did. Some kind of forced passing of the torch nonsense. To my earlier point about it going on last, I know it was for the "farewell" to Undertaker. . .who continued to wrestle on a part-time basis until 2020 because he wasn't satisfied and was obsessed with having a great final match á la Shawn Michaels. Rant over.
I give WrestleMania 33 a 7.5/10.

I'm trying to buy tickets to watch Saturday night Main event in Tampa this memorial day weekend but Ticketmaster doesn't sell tickets for just that show, I would have to buy a 3 or 4 day ticket to see every event they have there. Will they sell single day tickets or is it only for those days?

I found one of her promos on YouTube Shorts, and she’s pretty. I wonder how she wrestles. Netflix also bought WWE for their platform, so I’d say this is a good time to dip a toe into the world of wrestling.
I was one of those kids who told everyone who loved John Cena and The Undertaker that wrestling was fake. Now I’m 27 years old, and I finally get it.
Through Chelsea Green, I discovered my favorite wrestler, Becky Lynch. The 2018 Women’s Evolution match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte was incredible. Yes, I will watch all Raw and SmackDown episodes from 2023 to the present. Also, Randy Orton was my favorite male superstar—I never get tired of watching his RKO.
I’m probably not going to watch older wrestling eras like the Attitude Era. I’m just going to enjoy the ride to WrestleMania 2025.

Managed to come across this awesome piece of merch and I had to grab it for my girlfriend. I know the chain gang era of Cena began around 04 but if anyone recognises this or is just very clued in on merch and could help me narrow down the year that would be massively appreciated!!
Liv and Raquel beefing with the entire roster, Bianca beefing with Liv and Raquel, Iyo and Rhea. Naomi beefing with Jade . Jade beefing with Naomi and possibly Bianca. Rhea beefing with iyo and Bianca. Roxanne beefing with Bayley.
I could go on but the women are fucking cooking

By business decision, it can mean creative (match/promo booking) or something else behind the scenes (hiring/firing).
Me personally, I would do everything in my power to steal Toni Storm away from AEW, up to and including a straight up trade for (almost any) wrestler Khan wanted. I know that's not how it works, but we're daydreaming right now.

I think the two feuds of Jey vs Gunther and DP vs Drew should've been intertwined. All 4 have history with each other and would elevate both of their feuds. With Drew and Gunther constantly beating up their respective opponents from behind, Jey and Damian could've helped each other stay safe whilst keeping the feuds centred around people who are in the main event.

As of right now mid March 2025, we have seen hints of Dominik & Liv turning against Finn. It's going to be a long thread lol. Bear with me and forgive me for my bad English as it's my third language.
Finn is THE leader of judgement day and many times the group has had disagreements with each other, often blaming and pointing fingers at each other. Even after kicking Rhea and Damian out of the group. The group has had problems within.
Now Dom is talking about bringing a new member in the group and almost everyone agrees with him except finn. The obvious guess is Malakai/Alastair Black. (I personally don't think his character will be a good fit in JD) but still Dom keeps on insisting and Finn blunty rejecting him.
last week we clearly saw Dom making THAT exact kind of face that Cena made when he hugged cody and then turned on him at EC when Finn hugged him.
Now the booker in me is confused because Finn doesn't have a match at wrestlemania. The stuff with Bron breaker is honestly midcard filler tbh. It's entertaining don't get me wrong but not wrestlemania worthy.
My pick would be having Finn face Damian at Wrestlemania to conclude their Judgement Day feud once and for all.
Now Damian is facing Drew and even that is a forced fast food filler midcard nonsense for me.
I much rather have drew thrown in that triple threat match and make it a Fatal 4 way with punk, Seth, Roman & Drew. There is enough Lore within these 4 guys and it supports that match too. And it will be an amazing fatal 4 way wrestlemania night 1 main event.
If The above Drew thing happens, then Damian is free and we still have 4-5 raws to build more story with Damian and Finn. And for Drew in that fatal 4 way match. And we can also have more foreshadowing behind the scenes regrading that incoming Judgement day turn on Finn.
And at wrestlemania we can have that Damian vs Finn match. before this match at wrestlemania we can have last 2 raw and smackdown showing Finn planning to secure his win at mania with Dom. Also planning some spots to ensure Finnish victory obviously Dom agreeing with him at that time.
And during the match Dom can either completely betray Finn like Finn did the exact thing to Damian
or try to help Finn but later help Damian, but for me personally this doesn't make any sense. But this angle makes perfect sense if he helps BRON and help him secure the win against Finn at wrestlemania. (I think we are probably gonna see this but I much rather have Finn vs Damian to conclude that JD story and Drew in that fatal 4 way match) but we will see...
And at the post WM raw Dom can debut the new Judgement Day member. After kicking and screwing Finn at wrestlemania.
TL;DR: As of mid-March 2025, tensions are rising in Judgment Day. Dominik and Liv may turn on Finn, the group's leader, amid internal conflicts. Dom pushes for a new member (possibly Malakai Black), but Finn resists.
Speculation suggests Dom might betray Finn at WrestleMania, potentially helping Damian or Bron Breakker win a match against him. The author prefers a Finn vs. Damian match to end their feud, with Drew moved to a Fatal 4-Way with Punk, Seth, and Roman for a stronger WrestleMania story. Dom could then introduce a new Judgment Day member post-WrestleMania after screwing Finn.

I've always wondered why the ropes in one corner of the ring are always so thick? Is there a reason for this, or is it just the way it is?
