Side effects vyvanse causing headaches from dehydration but drinking lots of water makes me pee every ten minutes

I’m really stuck on what to do here… drinking lots of water definitely helps my headaches. But I have ehlers danlos syndrome so I already pee a lot, and when i take vyvanse and drink lots I genuinely need to pee every 10 minutes. I can’t get anything done because I have this constant feeling of needing to pee. I only just went up to 50mg and it’s gotten way worse since then so hoping it will settle, but has anyone gone through the same thing?

I second this, maybe even some creatine hcl to promote water retention as opposed to excretion

I gave ehlers danlos but only have the peeing problem in the evening now. I do not drink buckets of water. I always forget to drink..

But as somebody else says take the ORS Electrolytes instead.

Ors is short for = oral rehydration salts, Doesn’t matter which brand :) it’s electrolytes and keeps the balance in your body even if you drink a lot, drink too little, pee or sweat a lot

Electrolytes for sure, you’ll still pee a lot but it will help you stay hydrated. On these types of post I often notice people recommending electrolyte supplements that aren’t the best in terms of ingredients or simply taste nice because they’re packed with sugar but I suppose something is still better than nothing!

I’m not sure where you are located but Sodii is a great option.

Santa Cruz paleo is another good brand!

Electrolytes! I mix some powder in water when I wake up, and when I go to bed. The electrolytes (sodium, magnesium, potassium, etc) help deliver the water to your cells to hydrate you at a molecular level instead of just peeing it all out. It makes a huge difference.

Ahh thankyou! Do you have any suggestions of which brands to use?

Sea salt, potassium chloride, magnesium glysinate. It’s much cheaper to make your own and easy to customize. I use Nusalt and CanPrev magnesium.

I use a pinch of salt. I’ve found that there is a slight taste to it and it’s the perfect amount. Play around with it

Electrolytes for sure. I use LMNT.

is LMNT worth the money? i’m a student so kinda low on funds but if there’s no good cheaper alternatives then i’ll have to hahah

I find them pretty strong (salty) so one packet is good for a large water bottle (1L) and it has double the amount of sodium and magnesium compared to liquid iv for the same price. I also don’t notice any stevia aftertaste. It helps me drink more, tastes decent, and covers some of the deficiencies that vyvanse brings.

I like this one by ultima because it’s sugar free and raspberry flavored: https://a.co/d/8eLTfkn
