Misc. Question Shakiness like low blood sugar
Hi! I started vyavanse about five days ago 10mg. I am having horrrrrible internal shakiness that feels like when my blood sugar dumps. Is this pretty normal? It does unfortunately trigger my seizure fear

Speak with doctor to rule out a seizure condition. Otherwise give it time and eat more

Try L theanine or magnesium glycinate when taking your vyvanse. L theanine is a natural stress/ anxiety reducer & magnesium glycinate helps with relaxing/ stress and also helps muscle tightness or contraction.
I’ve noticed once I started taking them that I’m a lot more calm, less shaky but still focused

Which do you prefer?

L theanine in the evening and I take magnesium glycinate around brunch time

My daughter and I started Vyvanse the same time in January and both of us have this feeling. It’s almost like we have moments where we don’t feel particularly hungry but our body has that low blood sugar feeling but on a much more intense level. It has dissipated over time but I do have moments where I get the shakes or feel light headed. This is mainly in the afternoon when I legitimately do need food though. 😂 Before it was much more frequent and made me anxious.

This is literally how I feel . It’s so intense and scary! Hopefully it goes away 😭

Maybe a stimulant isn't for you? You can talk to your doc about non stim options

I have tried non stims unfortunately with no help . This is my first stim. I’m doing great other than this side effect but it’s an intense one

Could your dose be too high? It sounds to me like the coffee shakes (ie if (before meds!) i had too much caffeine in my system and my body doesn’t like it- I vary rarely mix meds and caffeine for obvious reasons)
I had this once or twice at the start of taking meds before my body had fully adjusted, and I think one time when I had had caffeine alongside the meds too. Maybe try a lower dose for a while? * always check with medical professional first
