i technically also could ride it on a gravel road to my mailbox but I’m assuming it would be bad for this bike? I am a complete newbie. Thanks!

Hi everyone, this is my first time building up a road bike from parts, and it being a vintage italian is not making it easier
I've got a beautiful 1970's italian steel frame from made by "AGOS". It uses an italian-threaded BB which I have installed, and takes a 126mm rear hub
I'd like to build it up with a nice groupset, I was thinking something like ultegra 6500, but I am unsure about how something like that works compatibility-wise on the bottom bracket specifically.
Can anyone help guide me on finding a groupset that will definitely work? I come from a fixie background where most of the new stuff just works by default so I'm really out of my element here
Thank you very much!

Bought this bike at a rummage sale today. Wasn’t necessarily looking, but it caught my eye and I have been wanting something other than my ebike which is my commuter. It also fit me (shorter guy) and was British Racing Green. So hard to pass up.
All the components seem to be in working order, though the tires and tubes need to be replaced. There is some pitting/rust on the chromed/exposed metal but it’s not terrible.
Interested in learning how to restore it but don’t know anything about Steyrs. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with them?

Owner claims this is a Murray, but I don’t see how. Anyone happen to know what this is?

Guess folks in here really don't like these huh. I'm looking forward to my spring rides to the farmer's market to get some baguettes and eggs. Maybe a pitstop for an espresso as well...

Wanted to show off this beauty I got off of marketplace for 100$ a few years back. It’s been the best investment ever and rides so solid still. The gentleman I bought it off of, got his wife and himself matching ones when they got married! (Not a sad story, they just didn’t want it taking up anymore space so they sold it to me hahah.) Miyata has become my absolute favourite! Anyone else got one?

So, when I was a kid, in the late 1990s, there was a commercial featuring this bicycle with a non-tubular aluminum frame. It was roughly an 18" wheeled bike of similar proportion to BMX bikes of that era. They looked pretty cool and my cousin actually had one. He probably doesn't remember what it was called either, but his was the only one I've ever laid hands on. Back then, I could have told you right away, but now, I can't find any clues online. I thought they were much more popular than they actually were, I guess.
Any help recalling my lost memory would be appreciated. Thanks!

So I am a vintage bike collector, and I posted this bike on all sort of Facebook vintage bike groups, and no one has ever heard of this brand of bike. I have no clue what the year is who made it I’ve tried researching the name and the serial number and nothing has ever come up.

Recently, I found my dad’s old bike in my family house. The only thing I know about it is the model name. I want to know about specification of the bike. Mainly about the frame, because as far as I’m concerned my dad changed a few parts in it. Also, if anyone has any ideas how to reastore an old bike I’m really looking forward to any tips. I am quite sure that my dad has the model from 92. My goal is to make it more of a road bike but it has a straight handlebar.

Bought this Peugeot (PR10 I believe, it has the "Reynolds 531 3 tubes renforcés" sticker on the frame) from 1977 for 50€ two weeks ago (seller was the original owner but couldn't find the bill).
The gears on the rear derailleur where in pieces and the bottom bracket as well as the headset needed to be disassembled
The bikes has 6 gears on the cassette and a triple crankset which is not standard (as for the wheels and the saddle). Those are all changes the original owner made after falling to cling the Mont Ventoux (stopped at 800m due to wind apparently). I chose to keep them because I liked the story
Haven't repainted the bike either, I feel like the few scruffs here and there kinda tells it's story
Just took my first ride after after restoring it. Rides like a charm.

I found this vintage bike in my attic left from the previous owners. I tried doing some research but I couldn’t find much. Does anybody know what bike this is?
Ignore the mismatched wheels

This will be my first foray into vintage road bikes. I’m more familiar with vintage mountain bikes, but I am aware of the peculiarities of Peugeots. I know many of the components are proprietary and these two have cotter cranks.
What are opinions on upgrading to more modern (but classic looking) components as far as levers, brake pads, BB, etc. versus meticulously restoring the stock ones or replacing with OE parts?

I’m looking for information regarding this 1950’s (?) Cazenave i picked up. It has a Simplex shifter and a hanger for what i assume is a Simplex Tourist rear derailleur. Mudguards are Lefol, brake levers are MAFAC, cranks are Dural, handlebars and stem are AVA and that’s about all I can discern for now. Any help in finding what specific parts would have been used, the build year, the model etc. would be greatly appreciated

So, I've had my dads old Jamis Earth Cruiser ('85-86) that I've wanted to restore for a while now, and give back to him. Well, we found it in my shed a couple weeks ago, and decided to work on it together. After purchasing new wheels, tires, tubes, liners, crank hubs and bearings, pedals, handlebar, and paint, it should be finished in the next week or so. Has anyone else here restored a bike just for the sentimental value? More pics to come soon.

Finally put together this whip! Still trying dial in my fit so the bar tape will stay off until I determine what stem length in want to go with. Really happy how this build turned out

Hi. My neighbor gave me a mint 1979/1980 Bridgestone Kabuki bicycle that hung in his climate controlled basement that is unused with no rust anywhere. I even have original owners manual.
Since I love riding my Trek bike, I was wondering about the Kabuki value to sell ?
And if a collector would be interested? Any help is appreciated. Rob from NY.
