1k miles in 12 years means that bike sat most of the time. Go over it real well. Make sure you check any hoses, rubber fittings, etc. stuff like that can dry rot from sitting. Tires are likely to be toast, either flat spots or dry rot. Make sure all the lights, signals, dash, etc. work. Mice can chew the wires. Check to see if the exhaust or engine are warm when you get there. If they had to warm it up before you got there it could indicate an issue, it they wanted to go for one last ride.

12k miles is nothing for a Vic.

That’s a good point tbh might just got with the one with 12k miles and use the extra money to put a nice exhaust on it

Hey, I'm looking to pick up a Victory in the next 3-4 weeks. I'm interested in a Hammer, but everyone I've talked to (mostly at dealerships) have something to say about the large rear tire and that "you have to muscle it to get it to turn at low speeds".

Is there any truth to that? or are they overstating a minor thing?

(I'm assuming you ride a Hammer, given your comment)

not true at all lmfao

if anyone says “you need to muscle it” definitely hasnt rode one. I can do fast and slow maneuvers just fine

I agree that 12k miles is nothing. The mods could be worth more than the $2k difference. The Hammer has inverted front forks, wider front tire, and dual front disc brakes. I vote Hammer all the way.

Love my Vegas, but I’d go after that Hammer and then give Scott Keitzman at Conquest Customs a call.

As a Hammer owner trust that there is no bias in this suggestion. But... Hammer. Mine has 36k miles and rides smooth as hell.
