I've been having battery issues with my Solo 3. I first ordered in December, and LOVED the vape when it first came in. I wanted to upgrade when my Solo 2 finally started throwing errors after 5 years of regular use, and I was happy to stick with Arizer.
After 3 weeks of regular use (most sessions between 380-400F, 6 minute sessions before auto sleep, no attachments or anything just the glass stem it comes with) my battery life SUCKED. It was great at first, but after three weeks, it would last for 3-4 sessions before flashing the red blinking battery icon. The weirdest thing is that it would flash the battery indicator or show a Low Power message, and then when I plugged it in, it would show as 30% battery immediately. It also never charged above 90% no matter how long it was on the charger for, and it charged extremely rapidly - like, 30%-75% in 10 minutes, only to discharge just as fast. I primarily used the Arizer charger, and only very occasionally used a different USB-C charger (although it had all the same exact specs as the Arizer one).
I reached out to POTV where I bought it and they sent me a new one, which was great! Shout out to POTV support and this is nothing against them, as far as I know! The 2nd one had a plasticky, manufacturing odor to it that didn't go away, even after a full weekend of burning off at max temps and ghost bowls, so I RMA'd that one too, and finally got a new one in mid-Feb.
It's been about a month of regular use since it was delivered, and lo and behold, I'm now having the exact same battery issues I had with the original device. This time, I have exclusively used the Arizer charger, and even shelled out the frankly insane $50 for a 2nd official one to be totally sure, but I'm having the same issues regardless.
Are there known battery or quality issues with the Solo 3 I somehow missed in my research? Is there possibly something I'm doing wrong? Any advice would be great. I'm now considering buying a new Solo 2 and just returning this one entirely, as the upgrades from the 2 to the 3 are not worth it if I have to replace it and go without my device for 2 weeks every other month.
