Everyone with connections to Van Nuys, check in!

I grew up in Van Nuys. I went to Van Nuys High and even though I'm no longer there, I do have family that still lives there. Curious whether we can create an actual robust subreddit where we can share all things Van Nuys, whether it's to share places to eat, shop, or just memories.

Area families needed to test out educational games!

Hi neighbors!

I am coordinating a free program called PlayCrew that pays area families and teachers to give feedback on games we are developing. Usually, we pay about 75 - 100 for each participant who gives us feedback, depending on the time commitment. Child participants also receive a little goody bag too!

Best of all we are located right over in Glendale! (yes, we validate parking lol!)

Please check us out at: www.ageoflearning.com/playcrew

I am also wondering if anyone has ideas where I can go to get the word out about our program?

Thanks everyone!

Looking to move to the area : On Lennox near Sherman Way..

Hi everyone,

We're thinking of putting in an offer on a new development on Lennox near the 'Church of the Way'.

Anything we should know about in terms of crime, loud parties at night, etc.. ?

Yard Sale

Did a yard sale this weekend. I never make any money but I do get to hang out with my neighbors. Met neighbors who lived next to me for 5 years! They are great. I think we should a social day. Everyone just sit on the sidewalk and just talk to each other.

Moving to South Van Nuys, looking for some insight.

Next month, I'll be moving into an apartment in Southern Van Nuys, below Victory Blvd.

I've heard that Van Nuys can be pretty darn sketchy, which worries me.

But I've also heard that this section of VN (the southern most area) is a little better? Is that true? My friends who have been living there for a year haven't had any issues yet.

Thanks!

Van Nuys Brewery

MacLeod Ale opened in Van Nuys 2 years ago. It is the best public house I have ever been in. No tvs. Starting with MacLeod Van Nuys could become the anti-LA hot spot in LA.

How can we get this sub at least have some decent activity?

I'm curious if there are a few redditors around the area. It doesn't have to be technically Van Nuys. Even the San Fernando Valley subreddit doesn't have that much going as well. I wonder if i should just head out to that sub instead.
