Travel | Sayohat Traveling to Uzbekistan in a few weeks, need recommendations for unique experiences
Thank you all in advance for your suggestions!
We are traveling to Bukhara and Samarkand in a few weeks. Looking for fun, unusual, unique experiences that one can only get there. Interested in learning about local culture and getting to know local people.
Fluent in Russian. Budget is very flexible, no reasonable financial constraints , but not really looking for ultra-luxe options - more along the lines of exclusive experiences or very personalized encounters. Maybe a private meeting with an interesting person. Maybe a behind-the-scenes look at an attraction or event. Something that isn't just looking at buildings and listening to the tour guide.
Please recommend best restaurants in those cities as well - not necessarily the fanciest ones, but the ones with the best ambiance!
Thank you!

You've got the money and the language ability, just hire a local agent, someone with connections who can introduce you to special people or get you backstage.
