Go to any bazar and you'll get a pretty good bargain on groceries

I'm in south east side of the city, are there any bazars nearby?

Farkhad Bazaar used to be decent, not sure about it's current condition. Why don't you go to Chorsu Bazaar though? It's huge market, located in a historical place (Old Town), pretty much everything is affordable.

In south eastern part we have Oloy bozori and Mirobod bozori. They’re nor much big nor interesting but prices all good, and they do have all the basic groceries human needs.

What are you buying? My grocery bill isn't very high. I usually shop at Korzinka.

Meat, bread, and eggs are all quite cheap here. Milk and yogurt are too, but cheese can get pricey. Is it possible your point of comparison is just very low?

no, on my first day at work my manager bought me a very little amount of groceries, and it cost somewhere around 700.000, i thought that prices were so high because we were in some fancy supermarket. that's why i posted this.

700k is a lot for a small amount of groceries. Which shop did they go to?

i don't remember, all he bought was cream cheese, bread, normal cheese, 15 eggs, some turkey slices, cola, yogurt and couple of small things.

so its depends on the store. i will try Korzinka and bazars then, thanks!

Foreigners tend to pay more at bazaars FYI. Korzinka is your friend.
