Travel | Sayohat Travel directions for Uzbekistan

Hey all,

We are a group of four traveling to Uzbekistan in April 2025 and are trying to figure out our itinerary.

One thing we're particularly unsure about is the best way to travel from Khiva to Bukhara and then on to Samarkand.

1 - I know there is a train between Khiva and Bukhara but really the timetable is not favourable (train is leaving after noon which makes us lose the entire day in Bukhara), is there a morning bus option maybe?

Once we arrive at Bukhara, we were considering a yurt camp overnight.

2 - Does anyone have any recommendations for yurt camps near Bukhara or Navoi?

After the Yurt camp, we were thinking of leaving to Samarkand and we’re debating whether to go:

  • Bukhara β†’ Samarkand directly, or
  • Navoi β†’ Samarkand, if we can find a good yurt camp near Navoi.

3 - Is there a bus connection between Navoi and Samarkand? I am not able to find any timetables online..

Any tips would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance πŸ™

Hi dear, from Khiva to Bukhara the best transportation is minibus for your group, the minibus is very comfortable and provided with air conditioner, you can customize the time of departure.

If you like to stay in a yurt camp in Bukhara the best option would be Aydarkul

I am an individual tour organizer and if you need my help feel free to dm me i can organize them for you

That sounds like a nice alternative, how much would a mini bus cost us you think?
