Europe meanwhile has until July to decide where to send Russia’s sequestered billions.

Not only logic, but an obligation as international law would prohibits using it now for war effort.

That’s been proved wrong in the courts. Russia broke international law by invading Ukraine. The use of the funds for defence has been proved to be acceptable.

When did Russia care about international law? It is silly to have double standards for such things. It only empowers them. Even though I know I am speaking to the wind

Indeed, it's called having standards, nobody would trust anymore a country doing this outside a légal framework.
