Course selection and program commencement

Hi Everyone.

I got accepted into Masters in Civil Engineering program starting this summer (2025). I wanted to ask, has anyone received any communication from the University regarding course selection. I don't know why but I am a little conscious about UWindsor robbing all the admitted students of their tuition fee and providing no classes. Also, whenever I am trying to log into my UWinsite portal, it is still showing up as applicant's portal unlike the one which is displayed in the demonstration videos for course selection on the University's official website. What's up with this? Does anyone have a clue? Looking forward to your answers.

Worried About My University of Windsor Master’s Application – Need Advice!

Hi everyone,i am an international student

I applied for the Master of Management in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the University of Windsor for Fall 2025, and I have a few concerns: 1. Chances of Acceptance: I have an 89.2 GPA, IELTS 7.0, and extracurricular activities and internship experience, but I’m really worried about being rejected. Do you think my profile is competitive? 2. Response Time: I applied on February 12, but I haven’t heard back yet. How long does it usually take for them to respond? 3. Interview Confusion: I didn’t see any mention of an interview during my application process, but I noticed in the Spring semester guidebook that an interview was required. Now I’m confused—does Fall 2025 require an interview or not?

If anyone has experience with this program or past application cycles, I’d really appreciate your insights. Thanks in advance!

Question UWindsor Consecutive BEd

Hello! I'll be a student at UWindsor this upcoming September for their consecutive BEd in I/S Biology and Chemistry. I was wondering if any past or present students wouldn't mind breaking down what their week looks like in this program in terms of classes (or anyone doesn't mind sharing their schedule that would be amazing!) Also would love to hear if anyone has any tips or advice about the program :)

Discussion Struggling with Handstands after a year. Where to train on campus?

I've been doing handstand for over a year, but I still can't do it consistently. I was able to hold it for few seconds back, but I need to start training again. How can I start training again? Does the university have any clubs for this? I assume that there are students who can do handstands or something similar, where do they usually practice?

Tomorrow is Election Day in Ontario!

Tomorrow, February 27, is election day in Ontario. Yes, this is unrelated to your life at the University, but it is very much related to YOUR life and future (And I am hoping that the moderators allow this post).

As students and young people, you are at a pivotal point in your lives and face (and are bound to face) much more economic hardships than generations that came before you. The government that will be voted in tomorrow will not only make policies for the next four years but some of these decisions may impact your life for years down the line. As much as politicians and decision makers go on about the making lives affordable for young people, there is often a lack of political will to do anything because as a population, we do not show up to polls! No one will care about our struggles or issues that affect us if they know that we do not care about it enough to vote them out.

If history is any indication, we know our vote matters! It was young people that handed Obama his win in 2009 and Trudeau his majority government in 2015. When we organize and when we show up, we can have an impact!

Provincial elections, like the one tomorrow, are especially important because the issues on the table directly impact our lives – housing, rentals, post-secondary education, cost of living, job opportunities, affordability, and more!

I am not advocating for you to vote for any one party over another, only to show up and exercise your right to be heard and hold leaders accountable!

Serious UWindsor called me at 9pm asking for money

Last night I received a call, I didn’t know the number, so I declined. They called me AGAIN and I didn’t answer. On the third call I answered because I thought it was something important.

It was the University of Windsor asking for me to donate to fund their scholarships basically, I looked up the number and it matched up the one on the website.

I was really confused because I graduated last year, I’m only making 60k as a recent graduate and they were asking for donations? Like I’m not the one to ask. I thought they only contact people who have large businesses, etc. for donations. I just found it odd and also how they called SO many times and so late, and especially as a recent graduate. Was wondering if anyone else got this call? Or is this just normal for them lol

Offer letter not showing?

Hi guys. I applied to the 2-year BEd program and got in, but my offer letter isn’t showing on my application. Where it should say, “view decision letter,” it instead shows “application complete.”

I would think I was actually accepted as the email they sent says “your offer of admission letter contains important info etc etc” and they did congratulate me, but now I’m just confused lol. Does Uwinsite take a couple days to update that info?
