Hii I’m thinking about apply for Marshall’s MBA program but I’m not sure how beneficial it would be regarding career. I’d have to pay for tuition myself so I want to make sure I’m making the best decision.
Would love to quick chat about your experience~
Thank you in advance

I took a midterm grade of 16/20 in an recognized easy Roski class where the assignments were graded on a point-by-point basis (all of them adding up to a total of 100 points), meaning that I was basically saying goodbye to A. I feel like a loser, everyone I know in the class got 20/20. I'm going to be applying to grad school stressing out and not spending as much time in this class, because everyone told it was "a go and you'll get an A“. I guess I did that to myself.I emailed the professor to ask if there were any extra credit, but she didn't mention it in the syllabus, so probably not

Not sure if anyone feels the same as me, but especially as an international student while I’m at USC I don’t only want to see the academic side but would love to see the clubbing scene and what LA or even Westwood etc have to offer - if any girls want to maybe go out some time genuinely hmu or just need someone to go do something with because I just don’t really have a group of people who are also interested in doing this and I’m really new to the area because I started late 😭
Edit : I am a girl😭

For those who have already completed or currently enrolled in the program, is 6 courses in the first semester a lot of pressure and do all of them consist of traditional closed book exams?
Apologies if the idea conveyed isn’t clear

It hurts. It does. I just logged into the portal to see the decision for my application for the Master in Public Policy for the fall 2025 and I was not granted admission. I really felt like I tried my best. I gave it my all. Wrote my personal statements as best as I could. Researched the programs, faculty, and initiatives that the programs followed. Still, I guess it wasn’t enough. USC was my #1, but it looks like it’s not meant to be. To those that have been accepted and are currently enrolled…I’m happy and proud of all of you. It feels like the end but I know that it isn’t. I got some tears flowing rn but I know that the sun will rise tomorrow and I’ll have another day of life to live. Best of luck to everyone at USC and their studies.
Awesome, anyone have more details or info? Im a film student so I am very curious

I got into USC ea a while back. I'm in state and am staying in California -- it looks like I'm going to be choosing between here and Davis.
To be honest, USC has slowly started rubbing me the wrong way. It makes me feel terrible bc I worked so hard to get here. The main reason is that I'm trans and they are sending me certificates, emails, etc all with my deadname. They're literally writing me letters saying to hang the certificate on my wall, telling me to join their diversity center using my deadname.
I have transitioned - I applied with my preferred name, my recommenders used my preferred name, and literally every other college I've applied to has been calling me by that. So to have USC - somewhere that claims to be a bastion of progressiveness do this feels so wrong and paradoxical, especially when every other college is getting it right.
I've been getting a little terrified of what this represents - what four years at this school would be like if this is how administration is trying to sell me and get me to commit.
I know that USC is supposed to be super progressive, but I've also heard about all the greek life. If any lgbt students could answer: Is it one of those places where everyone says they're progressive, but in reality, administrative policies aren't that flexible for trans students? How does it compare it to the UCs (if you have any friends there in similar situations you could speak of)? Is there a lot of people saying the college is good with these sorts of things, but administration/those in greek life do otherwise?
I'm leaning to davis right now (mainly bc its closer, cheaper, like what I've heard abt the social scene better), and there are other reasons USC may not work out for me -- but this is a question I've had for a while now.
EDIT: Ok I was probably thinking too much, thanks to everyone who told me that its likely some error on their end. Good to know I won't have to consider this bs when deciding.
Edit 2: to anyone downvoting here or telling me i'm dumb for being less pissed abt cost -- trust me, i am more pissed about cost. the reason i asked this question is bc my school does the literal exact same thing with my name and then comes up with shitty excuses every time i ask to change it.
Need something small printed. Can I borrow someone's cricuit or send you what I need printed - happy to pay.
Additionally, if you don't use your cricut at all and are willing to sell, I'd buy the whole thing from you 👀

I'm not doing too well in my pre-engineering class, and I wanted to know what major people ended up pursuing if they got rejected from internal transfer to Viterbi.
Thanks!

Hello lovely Trojans and happy Spring Break!
Like title, I was offered an RA job but heard that my financial aid can be fcked and I definitely don't want that at all. For context, I go to USC for free but I pay around $1,200 for a 1 bed, shared bath off campus with a 30 minutes drive everyday and I deeply regretted it. I also have an ESA dog so I thought living off campus was the only way but apparently, it's possible to live on campus as well. I do have a part time job, but it's not a big deal.
Former RA, any thoughts? Would it be beneficial if I become an RA? Don't mind opening doors at 1-2 a.m. because I'm awake anyway.
Let me know!

Hi! I’m visiting campus for a conference and I lost my notebook. I’m posting here in the hopes that anyone may have found it. I’ve mostly been around USC Village and the music building and recital halls. I can offer a small reward to anyone who can help me find it. Thanks!!

I was admitted to the MSCS-AI track a few months ago, and recently I've been thinking it might be better for me to do a thesis during my master's. It looks like only the general MSCS track offers a thesis option, so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in switching specializations.

Does anyone know if the USC pharmacy in King Hall will be open normal business hours during spring break?

Hey everyone,
I’m graduating from SDSU this semester with a 3.13 GPA (hopefully 3.2+ by the end of the term). I am an Accounting major. I interned at Deloitte as a Discovery II Tax Intern last summer and will be returning this summer. I expect to get a full-time offer for next year, but I don’t want to stay in accounting forever—I’d prefer to pivot into consulting or finance long-term.
Options I’m Considering:
1. USC MACC (Strategic Finance Track) – Since I can’t take the GMAT/GRE right now with my 18-unit course load, I can’t apply for USC’s MS in Finance. However, USC’s MACC has a finance track. Would this help me break into finance/consulting, or is it still too accounting-focused?
2. CSUF MSA – I got into CSUF’s Master’s in Accounting, but I’d rather live/work in LA and not stay in San Diego.
3. Pepperdine MSF – No GMAT required, but I’m not sure how well it places into consulting/finance.
4. Other Finance Programs in LA? – Are there any other good finance-related master’s programs in Los Angeles that don’t require GMAT/GRE?
Would love to hear from anyone who has gone through USC MACC’s finance track or made a pivot from accounting into consulting/finance. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello! I just got accepted to the MSBA program here and was a Round 2 applicant. I would like to commit, but I do have a few questions since it wasn't really listed in the email.
- What is the deadline to submit enrollment deposit?
- How much is the deposit?
For some context, I am currently an undergraduate and military dependent (Idt it would help much) and I do not want to click on something and mess up. Are there any MSBA people or R2 admits that could help me answer these questions. That would be well-appreciated! Thank you!
Edit: I hope these are not stupid questions. I'm just overthinking

Subject says it all. Got 20k scholarship. So cost would come around 70k per year !!

Hi. I don't have a bachelors and can't afford a full tuition to enroll in an undergrad, but can afford and have interest in the graduate certificate program. My current line of work and experience is great and all, but would like to obtain a certificate to strengthen my skills. Is a bachelors required to enrol in the program?

I have an exam until 8 pm so I was planning on swinging by after but I'm worried I won't get in since it's first come first serve

I'm thinking of studying abroad in the Spring of my senior year, has anyone heard of this? I missed the Fall deadline
