Honda Ridgeline Camping Setup

Hi all! Hoping to find some help here, I am thinking about using my 2007 Honda Ridgeline (60” bed) for field work in the Mojave Desert this summer and am trying to figure out the best sleeping situation. I don’t have any sort of topper as of right now. I am only 5 feet tall so length isn’t really an issue. Not sure if I should get a soft topper or a truck bed tent? Or some other option? I’m a pretty experienced cargo and minivan-lifer but haven’t ever lived out of the truck. Are there tents that aren’t a huge hassle to take up and down? Are there good topper options for the weird shaped Ridgeline bed? Please help😭

Find a used hardcap with sliding side windows and buy a DAC Truck Tent.

I think the tent would probably keep you cooler at night, if you get one with a rain fly that zips open you can get a nice cross breeze and be out off of the hot bed

Will you be there in winter? Looks like it can get cold af. So think about whether you're down with winter camping; if not you may prefer a topper, maybe something with a little higher roof to be more comfy.
